Recently I have been betowed with the rather rare honor of a quill lucky charm. I like this honor, and I have found it to be useful. When you double click a lucky charm the CAPS page moves to a rating sorted list of players with that charm. Double click the quill and you will probably find me on the first page. Today I am the 8th highest "Quillist," one place above the "Dave." This is the handiest way I know of to check on how many people love me and how many recs I have -- notably I have the least recs of any Quillists on the first page today. [more]

GMR is a stock I rated in CAPS awhile back. They are a oil shipping company who has been buying fleets of tankers and selling off all the old, single-hulled ships and keeping the newer double-hulled ones. As a result their fleet size is shrinking, which is going to reduce near term profits a bit. S&P sets their intrinsic value near its current value ~$42. [more]

Some people find options intimidating; my wife tells me some people find me intimidating as well, but like options I think that is generally unfounded. I am no expert on options, but I have dabbled in buying and selling Calls for several years now. [more]

I am used to seeing my ranking go up when my score goes up or when my accuracy goes up. This week my score has done quite well with my accuracy holding and I have seen my ranking decrease. Not significantly, but it went down all the same. [more]
