Legend International Holdings - Pump or Dump?

January 19, 2010 – Comments (2)

This could be the mother load. But, the more I read about this company the less I’m convinced. Full disclosure I (did) own this. I bought and sold it within a week in 2009 “thought it was too good to be true”. However, it run up more than 40% after I sold it.   [more]

My stupid mistake of 2009

January 08, 2010 – Comments (3) | RELATED TICKERS: LCAPA.DL

Was not investing in Liberty Media, researched it for weeks - told family and friends about it. Said hey!! it's Malone- buy it- some did - some didn't and of course the one person I didn't listen to was "myself" I was tooo caught up in casinos, beaten down oil stocks, banks, etc. Although I did well in 09; I could "have" done better with Liberty in my PF.  [more]

Precision Drilling Trust

January 05, 2010 – Comments (2) | RELATED TICKERS: PDS

I’ve been waiting on a big move up with PDS. “When not if” it breaks to $10 watch Mr. Market dive in head first and push this one up to a rewarding 1 yr high. I’m not sure if will see the $26 plus target from Yahoo finance, but, this will easily be in the mid teens sooner than we think. This might be a nice time with a little correction to scoop up some more shares.

Full disclosure I own this one.

Blogs & B.S. and Motley Caps

Adamantly I wasn’t sure of Caps when I first joined; I guess I was more interested in playing a ‘so called adult game” with adverse effects to the ultimate outcome of any one recommendation. I wondered who would take the advice of a Cap member without doing their own DD before investing “hard’ earned money. However, through a bit of my own research I have to admit; many do take the advice of our fellow fools. Therefore, the majority of times ‘including myself’ we are correct in our predictions and recommendations, but, ultimately I now feel some what responsible if I choose a pick to be a so called “winner” and it doesn’t pan out – that sort of makes me feel bad – that I may/could have/ or partake in - being a responsible party for earnings and/or investments lost. So. I’m wondering if I should continue onward or gracefully bow out of caps. I’m sorry if I’ve led any one astray in 2009. I’m not a professional broker; just a simple DIY investor who analyzes the analyzer then analyzes the doc’s – if you get my meaning.  [more]
