I'm going to use Caps and the message boards in an attempt to organize my thoughts on my current investments. I plan to create a relatively short summary of each stock I own and update it quarterly. Cover the basic investment thesis, notes, catalysts, risks, valuation and selling criteria. Stay tuned.

I noticed I have a new lucky charm called popular. It's the little red heart. Appearantly you get one if you are in the top 10% of players appearing on another player's favorites list. When I click on my popular lucky charm and find myself it says that I have 10 groupies. Cool stuff. Now who are you mysterious groupies? I can't find a way to see who the players are who marked me as a favorite. [more]

I doubt anyone noticed but I changed my name on the Fool site from Buckeye3d01 to PLynchJr. Why you ask? Well first of all the previous name didn't make much sense. I accidentally changed it from Buckeye3d to Buckeye3d01 a while back and was just kind of stuck with it. Plus what does me being a big Buckeyes fan have to do with investing? The new name is an homage to Peter Lynch. If you live under a rock and don't know who Peter Lynch is he is simply one of the greatest stock pickers of all time and a wonderful educator. He used to run the Fidelity Magellan Fund. Lynch had an incredibly successful run at the helm of Magellan. If you invested $10,000 in 1977 when he took over the fund and kept it there until 1990 when he left that $10,000 would have grown to $280,000 over the 13 year period. Not bad eh? Unfortunately I wasn't one of the lucky ones. The reason I'm indebted to Lynch is the wonderful books he has written on investing. His writing got me hooked on learning more about investing. I devoured One Up on Wall Street, Beating the Street, and Learn to Earn. I've since gone back and reread each book multiple times. They are still as relevant today as when they were first written if you ask me. [more]

Looking around the CAPS site today I noticed the new blogs feature is gaining a little steam and figured why not contribute. Hopefully I'll remember to add my 2 cents on various investment related topics here over the coming weeks / months / years. [more]
