It's been one (1)  year since I first started Motley Fool CAPS!

A lot has happened this year. Maybe a bit too much. Or too little. Depends on what you're looking at.

 Anyways, I composed a haiku to summarize the stock market year -

The rollercoaster.

Down it goes, the brakes have broken.

Sick to my stomach.

Safety Dance

I was listening to "Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats last night and I realized that the song has a lot to do with investing (it's a stretch). Imagine that the Canadian guy who sings this song... Ivan Doroschuk (google, my friends) is the Fool, who suggest a hip, cool, new stock to you. You are a little cautious about this stock (I'll call it Dell, for the sake of this stock having a name), but the Fool convinces you by telling you that Dell is set for explosive growth and that no 10-bagger comes from a well-established company. So you buy it, and, sure enough, your 10,000 is worth 3,900,000 (according to that banner that appears on the right side of the screen).  [more]
