Finally, a Presidential Candidate I Can Vote For!

September 29, 2008 – Comments (3)

A much more solid choice than Sarah Palin, even if I have to say so myself!

Country First?

September 26, 2008 – Comments (24) | RELATED TICKERS: MAC , EAD

They tell me this man is ready to lead the country. That this man puts "Country First" ahead of his own political position, ahead of polarizing partisan shenanigans and cheap political tricks you'd see in, oh I dunno, a PTA meeting or a mayoral race in a small Alaskan town. Really?  Sure seems like a lot of grandstanding from these cheap seats...  [more]

It’s The Economy, Stupor

September 17, 2008 – Comments (13) | RELATED TICKERS: SPY , SPX

It is downright nasty weather out there: Major banks are dying, Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) are getting bailed out, Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch are all failing, and now an $85 Billion loan to bailout AIG. How many decades of debt repayment are we willing to pass onto our children and grandchildren until we say “Enough is Enough!”, until we start paying attention as citizens and investors when companies start crying for deregulation, huh?  [more]

The End of The World

September 10, 2008 – Comments (6)

It is upon us! The new LHC atom-smasher was switched on 80 minutes ago in France (where all the big black holes go to be "discovered", I'm told) and is now busy getting its strangelets in order, and unless the speed of light is a lot slower than what those pesky physicists have been telling us, then we are all still safely here (though that does beg the question about some of us ever really being here). Congratulations, you get to live to see another day.   [more]

It’s The Economy, Stupid!

September 05, 2008 – Comments (17) | RELATED TICKERS: SPY , DIA

[I apologize in advance if I step on anyone’s toes/beliefs in this blog, but sometimes, the truth hurts, and I hope with all sincerity that’s what I disclose below. I’m just tired of all the hype, and really desire to cut the rhetoric from under some of the arguments we are having on a national scale (although my opinions do creep in). To the purest of pursuits, that being “knowledge”, I offer the following. Enjoy or not.]  [more]

Niacin Clamp – McCain’s Hidden Message

September 02, 2008 – Comments (7) | RELATED TICKERS: POT , O

After the furious reaction from both Democrats and Republicans about John McCain’s VP pick this
past Friday, I’m beginning to wonder how many within the McCain campaign are an Alaskan
salmon-and-halibut short of a combination seafood platter, if ya know what I mean. There are just
too many funny things to blog about here, I almost don’t know where to start.  [more]
