This company has many challenges which is why I originally shorted in high twenties. Most recently their problems related to antitrust investigation are becoming more apparent and cost and fallout from antitrust is accelerating effect of other issues. There is just no equity value here from any angle. My goal is for this to be a terminal short where stock becomes worthless which ussually results in a nice further deferral of taxes on gain. [more]
I'm a new member but from reviewing rankings they are biased in favor of the folks that have the most number of active picks. I understand how the scoring works but it tends to have people pick much more stocks than they would actually invest in. Everything else equal, it seems like a given score achieved with a smaller number of picks is better. Perhaps consideration should be given to adding a "power" metric that relates score to number of active picks. One such measure could be the score as it is now calculated divided by the number of active picks. [more]
Now understand why I can't rate TRBR. Market cap is below $100M mininum (now around $62M). Its still my favorite and I'll rate it when it gets above that $100M minimum. Another micro cap transport that I like in terms of risk/reward is Quality (QLTY) which also is below minimum. These micro caps that aren't followed much offer are good investing opportunities.
TRBR closed at $5.20 on 2/08/10 and is currently my favorite stock based on strong recent performance, very low multiples and attractive industry position/dynamics. Don't know why CAPS won't let me include in among my picks; my others will do well but including this one would get me to front of the class re relative performance! I'm going to inquire how TRBR can become ratable but want to note my choice here so I can say "I told you so" in 3 months, 6 months and 1 year! [more]
