Win Win Situation

Today I see leading stocks tumbling, which means likely pain ahead.    But then, I read the financial news and see the talking heads saying that the rest of this week is a win win.  Either continued economic news is better than expected, meaning a slow recovery is still taking place, or the news disappoints, which means more QE by the federal reserve.  What the???
