I know I'm not the greatest stock picker.  But I go with the stocks that I know are doing plenty of consumer business right now.  People still love these companies !!! Even in so called "hard times", PEOPLE ARE STILL doing business with them.  So I'm standing my ground. Go ahead and laugh if you want.  Staying loyal towards these companies is important to me.  If I shop there, eat there, and all my friend's do the same, along with all my friend's, family members and their friends and so on.  That is called "consumers" of their products.   That is why we turn around and buy shares of stocks.  Because somebody's family member is running the business, or is employed there.  It could likely be yours. We must keep our people employed by believing in our companies products. Investing in them so future generations can work and invest too. Because as long as our younger generation has a place to work, all of us "Baby Boomers" can rest well on our pillows at night knowing we have a retirement check coming in......    Dana,  Stillwater, Oklahoma   [more]

 My Seven Favorites That I Always Follow Faithfully Are As Follows~

  X, POT, HRL, CHK, GD, AMX, and DOW.  And my backup quarterback is ED !!! 

I stand by these companies because they are not going anywhere soon.

I believe in companies that believe in themselves.  Strong and determine to survive in this world. 

Their products are in demand.  

So I will invest in them for the LONG RUN.
