List of Levered ETF's | Great for CAPS | Dangerous in real life - levered ETF's have big flaw!

Enjoy!! FYI - levered ETF's are great for CAPS trades because you can pick a market direction and if you are right you will get outperformance.

In real life these products products are busted... if you hold them for the long-term the options (volatility) premiums will destroy your money. These ETF's things invest in options and that is very expensive over the long-term.

For an example of how these ETF's are flawed: Look at the ETF that is an ultrashort of oil (DUG)... this ETF is down on the year even though oil has fallen 60% since the beginning of the year.

By default these ETFs are long-term shorts  -these ETF products breakdown over time.

LOOK AT THE EMERGING MARKET ETF's.... the levered (2x) ETF (EEV) is underperforming the un-levered ETF (EUM).
