Because no bank can escape the worst 4th qtr since I have been on this earth. Dire consequences if you buy them before earnings. If you want an example of what can happen is just to look at HBHC today and STT, PNC yesterday.
I will buy heavily if Geithner is confirmed Treasury Secretary because during the hearings he said he believed to fix the banking system he is willing to be as forceful as required to fix it.
Tim Geithner apologized for not paying his taxes and some Republicans criticized his involvement in the TARP program at today's hearing, but Barack Obama's nominee for Treasury Secretary appears on track for confirmation.
