In regards to the millions of dollars in bonuses paid to top AIG executives:

“We wrote the language in the bill, the deal with bonuses, golden parachutes, excessive executive compensation that was adopted unanimously by the United States Senate in the stimulus bill,” Dodd told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer this afternoon.

“But for that language, there would have been no language to deal with this at all.”

So let me get this straight, Chris.  We needed to have verbage in the bill gauranteeing this enormous amount of extra compensation to the people that played a part in bringing down the US economy - because we otherwise might have been confused about how to handle the situation?

Thank you for making the situation black and white, otherwise you guys in the senate might have wasted enormous amounts of time trying to determine the proper course of action.

Please someone take his senate seat.  You can replace him with a can of tomato soup for all I care.

I hope they recall Dodd.  Someone has to take the fall.  It won't be Timmy or Obama...

I personally am hoping to see Schiff run against him.  He's made no formal statement in regards to his running, but when people say that they haven't ruled out candidacy, it typically means that they are going for it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Tim get smacked down when this all goes south.  He's way too visible.

Not sure where Tim stands. He's either an unasuming puppet/scapegoat or he's like the quiet mastermind pulling the strings but looking chill.

He's likely better protected than Obama when the bullets start flying.
