hold one retail card ...for anonymity lets call them Targot. I was informed that my credit agreement had been modified because they felt like it. The new rules are UNLESS I buy a stamp and send back their opt-out pamphlet to their home office in Sheboygan they had the right to sell my information. I paid for my $10.99 gum purchase on my $200 limit card today. Although I will miss the red card that added flair to my wallet I will cancel my target card.

I have a credit line with for anonymity lets call them Saypal I never used administered by a company for anonymity lets call them General Eclectic. I was informed that my credit agreement had been modified because they felt like it.The new rules are UNLESS I call there hotline and opt-out they had a right to any number listed as my cell phone using an automatic dialer. I no longer have a SayPal credit line.

Seriously what happened to "a pitch." Is nobody skilled at sales that they have to try and trick you? Marketing may tell you who to sell it to but you have to sell.

I wonder when people will become aware that Facebook and MySpace are not much more than data miners.

Since the topic is a consumer rant. I got a an offer yesterday from Pee-Mobile, with an offer I really could refuse. They want me to upgrade to a pricer plan with a one year contract.  In exchange I get one month free. One month in 12 months is less than 10%. You've got to be dead not to receive better offers than 10% discount on retail purchases. I bet even dead folks can get 10% off at the funeral home. The eye-roller part was the enclosed postage paid envelope. On the back of the envelope it read: "Do not use this envelope to send payments".  They'll pay postage to get me to upgrade, but won't pay postage to collect money.

I saw that "Saypal" policy change too, and was equally surprised at their tactics with it.

motleyanimal (98.69) Spot on. That  fact does not stop people from posting personal stuff they wouldn't say in public

GNUBEE (45.39) Also spot on! If it was worth getting you wouldn't need to covertly steal my info. This has less class theen a fell off the back of the truck alley deal. Lmao instead of using the phone your teen post for all to see  ---> ."waiting for the next Jonas Brothers video" posted 12 minutes ago "I just had a BM"- posted 13 minutes ago.

Eudemonic (< 20) : Yeah even Bed bath and beyond gives 20 % off sent to my wife 250 times a year. Bad deal on the phone. Darn not even a $75 rebate that takes 4 months to get? We opted out of junk mail( you can to forgot the link) and BBB and Verizon keep sending me junk. Gonna close up my mailbox like Kramer on Seinfeld.

spritefiend (84.15) Yeah they sent you one package with the account number when you sign up which you throw out. Online they never show you account # again. To opt out they make you call the hotline with the account number which you threw out within 45 days. I said very devious and called their main offices and cancelled .Forget it and them.
