This post is a reference post that must be read by any new reader of our blogs so they can know the lay of the land as well as getting links to most of our previous blogs in one. It is work in progress and we will update it when we see fit. The following you will read was the outcome of three months of blogging in Caps where we had our challenges in communicating over the web. We addressed each challenge when it surfaced with a solution so we can preserve our community and improve it at the same time. New ideas and inputs to improve the following structure are welcome.

Let me first introduce you to “GoodVibe Community”. We consider ourselves to be a unique and open community within Caps. We are a community not a single person. Although the community took my ID on Caps to identify itself, now we think of it as a meaning that revolves around the community not my persona. I hope you will always think of it this way because it is. One day, I’ll move on as it’s the natural course of things, but I hope the idea and the community will stay for as long as nature wanted it to stay. It will always be here in Caps and nowhere else and the membership is always free. We spontaneously started this community together to survive and thrive. We aim to build, add, teach, learn, and make a positive change in the lives of our fellow members. Each one of us proud themselves to be a teacher a much as a student starting with me. No one of us claims to have all the answers but we hope collectively to reach the best answer that serve us well. We know the outcome that results from our efforts will always come to teacher and to pupil alike. We give but to ourselves. A lesson truly taught can lead to nothing but release for teacher and pupil, who have shared in one intent .

First, we will ask you kindly to abide by the following guidelines when you post in any of our blogs. These guidelines came from experience and they are collectively the outcome of our decisions. Thanks for understanding!

Community guidelines:

1. If you decided to be a self-directed investor/Trader, you must refrain from asking us for a personalized strategy or plan, specific stock advice or a chart, or how or when to make decisions. We are here to show you the way not to walk the way for you. If you can’t devote the time and energy, hire a personal investment advisor to do this for you. Trading and self-directed investing is not for everyone. In either case, start learning, do your homework; and consult with your investing advisor before making any decisions. All the work we present here is for educational reasons and should not be constituted as advice to buy or sell anything. We only share what, when and how we’re doing with hopes that sharing the process adds to you. Please, never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.

2. I am a day, swing, and position trader by profession. Read my trading rules. I use Technical analysis to time my trades. Long-term investors can use most of the tools I use but will not get all the benefits as short-term investors and traders. Buy and hold forever investors will gain almost nothing from this blog but the casual chat and entertainment.

3. Believe but question. Listen but speak. Trust but verify. We offer what worked for us but no one here can guarantee it will work for you the same way or at all. Test before you jump. And never follow anyone unless you know what you are doing.

4. Everyone is welcome! Diversity strengthens our community and adds more value to our thinking and decisions. If you believe you have something of value to share, please join us!

5. The level of our tolerance to those who disagree with us will prove the level of our convictions. Everyone is entitled to believe and express their opinions in any form or shape including here even if they're not justified. Never respond to unfounded, irrational or unjust comments. Never ever defend me, the community we're building, or the work we do. It’s futile. Add, build, make a positive difference, or keep your peace. If you must express a grievance, please directly address whoever offended you in their blog not here. Keep this blog a place for positive and productive communication. My only hope that those who disagree with us treat us in the same way we treat them.

6. Recs, comments, and new groupies in our community are our guide to know if we’re doing a good job and adding some value to you. That said; please don't rec., comment, or join unless you were getting some value from our blogs. This is not a beauty contest. Let us move on to put our energy somewhere else where we believe it's needed. Until then, Recs. are good for your karma. Comments, questions, or contributions; however, are obligations.

7. Everyone is encouraged to answer questions and provide links to questions that we may have answered in the past or they feel the confidence and knowledge to do so on their own. Please step in and either copy and paste that answer or put it in your own words. Just make sure before you comment to always explain your reasons and rationale, and provide supporting data when possible. Emotional comments and opinions are not welcomed.

8. If we missed your question, please ask again. We’ll try to answer as many questions as we can but don’t expect an immediate response. Come back later for the answer in the same blog you posted. If you would like to email me personally, this is the place (goodvibe07 -at- yahoo) but a comment here will do the same.

9. Thanks for your thankful comments. I read them all and they cheer my heart but I'll not reply to them to save some time. That said, keep them coming! They keep me going like the Energizer bunny keep going and going and going. Never say die! :)

                                   Stay positive. Winning begins within.

                                           GoodVibe Community's oath

"On my honor, I will never betray my integrity, my character, or the public trust. I will always have the courage to hold myself and others accountable for our actions. I will always uphold my community, and the people I serve."

Second, when my posts got so crowded with many comments, questions, and general discussions; we decided to split them into different groups where I invited and asked other members to generously share with me the responsibilities of opening a blog from their Caps’ ID that address a certain topic. Along the way, I hope we will get new members to take on all or part of these responsibilities when we see fit. Also we will add new topics that address our future needs. For the time being here is the current structure:

1. GoodVibe Market Vibes – “XYZ blog name”

This blog will be my first responsibility. This was my original plan when I came here to Caps. I’ll post a new one weekly every Monday night unless there’s no need for a new one. Keep the last one on your radar until a new one is open. It will address market movement where I will chart the market and provide my current plan and strategy. I’ll update my charts only when needed in the comment section. I’ll follow this blog attentively on an hourly basis. In this blog comments are restricted to only general market conditions including your market analysis, market charts, plans, and questions. Nothing else should be added such as stocks you trade, individual stock charts, general TA discussions or learning, links to other blogs, personal issues, general discussions, entertainment, social chat, and the like. I love all that but some people found it hard to go through all that to get to what they want. Also, the huge numbers of comments and questions made it hard for me to keep up with the blog without consuming every free minute in my day.

I want you to think of this type of blog as a professional place that only you can post on to teach or ask a question regarding market direction only. Nothing else! Think before your post and when you post make sure to be concise while comprehensive. We will be following this blog carefully to see what we think so we can take important decisions. We want this blog to be easily accessible and quickly readable. If you believe that you have something of value including questions to add to those who want to know the next market direction, please post here. Otherwise, use other blogs below. This restriction is in the best interest of all. We made it possible to have other places that cover all grounds so no exceptions will be allowed.

Previous posts that could be included under this category are:

1. GoodVibe Market Vibes - Jan. 23. 2009

2. GoodVibe Chart Of The Day - Bulls are running out of breath

3. GoodVibe Alert - Huge move is coming! Stay defensive.

4. GoodVibe’s Warning – Staying away from the bulls’ camp – My reasons.

5. GoodVibe Alert - Know what's going on before it's too late!

6. GoodVibe Alert - Another monster move is coming!

7. GoodVibe's Call - Where's the bottom?

8. GoodVibe's Call - The case for the bulls!

9. GoodVibe’s ALERT – Are you ready for THE bottom?

10. GoodVibe is buying and holding

18. GoodVibe Market Vibes - Bulls victoria!

There will be only one headline to identify these type of blogs moving forward: "GoodVibe Market Vibes"

2. GoodVibe Classroom – “XYZ blog name”

This blog is my second responsibility. This was the outcome of simple question from a friend I met here in Caps. This class will address only Technical analysis. The thing I know that I know a lot -but not everything- about. I’ll post as many blogs as I could under this category with no weekly restrictions. When I feel that I covered the grounds of a topic, I’ll move on to the next. In this blog, comments and questions should be limited to the topic of the class only. No social comments or market direction’s question, etc.

You have to be actively engaged in this blog where you must read all the comments as you set in a class where you have to listen to all the talking. You may get something of value added to your thinking by reading. If you have a question no matter simple or complicated and can’t get a satisfactory answer to, never shy away but step in and ask. First, I would like you to be an active learner. Before you ask, try to Google your question, check Wikipedia or any other financial website, or read a book or an article that can help answer your question. Don’t expect us to answer all your questions without you first taking an active role. When you do this, the value of your learning will multiply and the information you will get will stay longer in your head beside you will get exposed to many new ideas, questions, and more learning. If you do this and still can’t get an answer, then come and ask and we will have an answer for you or will direct you to a good place to fulfill this purpose.

3. GoodVibe FAQ – “XYZ blog name”

This blog is my third responsibility and you can think of it as an extension to the GoodVibe Class. This type of blogs will address a question or a group of related questions that frequently get asked in my blog. I’ll have this type of blogs written everytime I have some extra time to spare to put these questions to rest once and for all where they can be reference for those who ask them in the future. I’ll get to decide which topic to address first from your questions. So, the more you ask, the more you will decide the topic I should address in this blog. Comment and questions on this type of blogs should also be limited to the topic of the blog.

4. GoodVibe Poll  – “XYZ blog name”

This blog is my fourth responsibility. In this type of blogs, I’ll ask others especially those who have different approach to investing/trading such as fundamental analysis to come and poll a group of stocks such as sector or index. The outcome of the poll will be based on which few select stocks offer a better return on investment. At the end of the poll, I’ll chart these stocks for the community. My first poll will be: “GoodVibe Poll – Dow Winners and sinners” I hope this kind of blogs will add value to the community and merge the power of fundamental analysis and technical analysis. You can add your analysis and support your case after you vote for choices in the poll. Our community intelligence will get enhanced with more votes and thoughtful analysis that will benefit the majority of us.

5. GoodVibe Community - “XYZ blog name”

This blog is my fifth responsibility so far. This one is dear to my heart because it touches on the human aspect of our community. We're more than just IDs and avatars. We are humans who belong to families and loved ones. We live in homes that pulsate energy with laughs, smiles, and yes sometimes heartache and pain. I want to share this with you. I want to be part of this because this is what really matters to me. I want to know who are you? Every once in a while, I’ll highlight some few members from those who contributed to the content of this blog when they told me who they are? Please, don’t let this blog run out of content. Tell me who are you now, or add more about yourself. Not here but click here . Just remember to stick to the guidelines when you go there. Thanks for sharing. It really makes a difference to me knowing something about those who I am talking to. I'll also use these community type blogs when I want to bring something to your attention that I value in life. Please keep your comments in this kind of blogs restricted to the topic of the blog. We used this kind of blogs before to update market conditions but we will not do this anymore.

5. GoodVibe Community: This is who we are - Part (3)

6. GoodVibe Lounge -   “XYZ blog name”

This is very important if not essential part of our community. Now, I can’t imagine our community without it. This is the place where everything goes without violating our main guidelines. We can gather to talk, socialize, help each others learn, link to different blogs or sites that can not only help us financially but also spiritually, physically, emotionally, etc. We can post music, arts, poets, photography, or whatever we think worth sharing with others. We can talk about our kids, pets, health, or our neighbors. We can post charts, trades, and discuss strategies. We can discuss market direction or ask general questions. I asked number of people to open such blogs from their own ID but keep the title unified so we can distinguish it easily. These people are Mary953, adventure818, Innerflame, kstarich, and iSusan. There’s no obligation for any of them to do so and there’s no limitation to only those I asked to take on such a task. If you would like to do say, just say so. But as any gracious host, you must take care of the guests and maintain the blog until you or another person opens a new one to keep the party going. If you’ve been a host before, you know what I am talking about. You don’t have to answer every question. Just be there when needed. This blog can be as frequent as the comments go. I would recommend that every 200+ comments, we should open a new one unless there’s some need to keep a topic going. I will join in this blog with my comments, answers, questions, VibeTubes, etc. until I annoy the heaven out of you! :) So expect me there as well.

7. GoodVibe Chart Lab -   “XYZ blog name”

This will be a place where future Technical analysts get their hands dirty. They will practice what they will learn by themselves or in my class. They will help those timid souls with basic questions of how to build a chart, arrange it, or post it, etc. and many other complex questions if they can do so. How to overcome the first challenges that comes when a newbie analyst start to learn how to chart for themselves? Also it’s a place to present your work to fellow students to critique and fix. No one here must be a professor, knowledgeable, or always accurate. It just a lab to experiment and toy with charts. To exchange ideas of how to learn TA. It’s a place where people can overcome their inhabitation of learning TA. This blog will help me hit the ground running and will make my job easier in my class blog. I asked number of people also to maintain this blog. With no order, they are RussWild, Binve, Columbia1, Sobornost as well as anchak with his mathematical prowess and Herztical with his web abilities. There’s no obligation for any of these names to do such job as well. These are just the people I can see now to fit the job. I’ll be grateful for them when they have the time to join me in helping others as they already doing their part through their own blogs and helpful comments. If others want to join, just say so. These are not the only people who should be able to open such blogs. In the future, we must see who of us advanced in learning and ask them to give back to the community by helping others learn what they learned. This blog can be as frequent as the participants see fit. I'll urge you to have a core topic instead of wandering all over the place and start first with the basics and then advance. Remember to hook new comers with your old chart lab blogs that they can go back and read to catch-up with the rest without you having to start from all over again. I will join this blog frequently to chime in my two cents or you can ask me to stop by to get my opinion on something special.

.......................

At this, I think I restructured our community in a way that can easily satisfy all our members and fulfill their various needs. If they want it all, they can join all blogs or selectively join what fit them. I have more topic ideas but didn’t formulate them yet. If I have more, I’ll update this post.

You can comment here with what you think about this structure. Just please stick with this topic only. We must teach ourselves how to keep our comments inline with the topic of the blog instead of going all over the place. :) This way when we refer a new comer to a blog, he or she can enjoy the comments’ section and benefit from them as well as the post itself.

I wish you all as much as you wish for yourselves and maybe a little bit more.

GOODVIBE.

Hopefully you will overlook the transgression:  This comment is  apparently in violation of a portion of GVC  Rule  #1 ('...refain from asking us.... how ... to make a decision...').

Some clarifiation is required on how one might decide to become a GVC new groupy. Specifically the GVCG rules raise a number of questions upon which hopefully you will comment:

- Rule #1          This first rule dictates (among other things) one 'must refrain from asking..... how or when to make decisions.'  This is at odds with the portion of the self described purpose of the GVC; being an open community with one focus on teaching

Any focus on teaching would be severly crippled in the absense of inquisitive students, or with sufficient suppression of questions. Furthermore,  learn how and when to make a decision is cititcal, to not only Technical analysis, but analysis of alomst any kind.

In requiring that one 'must refrain from asking ......how or when to make decisions' , any opportunity to teach has been relegated to a role of dictation of ideas which are forbidden to be debated.

If these guidleines serve any purpose (greater than instruction soley for those who believe everything, question nothing, and never have a dissenting thought); then guideline #1 requires significant rework.

- Rule #3              This rule requires any potential commentors to  '... Believe but Question... Trust but Verify...' .

Wow.  Does this work?  Do you expect people will believe and trust, because it is a requirement, or is this rule intended to encourage dishonesty among non-believers.  Why would someone given to unquestioning belief, feel the need to enquire further on a subject in which they already 'believe'.

It would be more healthy to encourage trust and belief as being developed as a result of questions and verifications.  Proclaiming  trust and belief to be entitlments legitimately owed to you without sufficient prior questioning and verification, is dangerous.

- RULE #5       '...The level of our tolerance to those who disagree with us will prove the level of our convictions......Never respond to unfounded, irrational or unjust comments. Never ever defend me, the community '

I have seen you display your intollerance of your detractors in blogs on a number of occasions.  Does this suggest your convictions are low?

You have even gone so far as to label the detracting comments in words similar to 'unfounded, irrational, or unjust'....  Does this mean you lack convition, or that the rules don't apply to those who write the rules?  Is this, 'do as I say, not as I do?'

- Rule #6     ' .....Comments, questions, or contributions; however, are obligations.'

With all the other guidleines steering commentors to avoid calling into question the validity of the ascertions of the original blog, doesn't the final portion of this rule  encourage an abundance of mindless yes-man babble?

RULE #7      '....  Emotional comments and opinions are not welcomed.'

So, if someone feels passionately about a subject, they cannot comment, or make an opinion noting their passion?  Do you wish the commentor to lie and say they do not feel passionately about the subject?

The rule is also ambiguous, in that it could either mean 'all opinions' or just 'emotional options' are not welcome.  If the former was the intended meaning, then you might have as easily said 'No comments whatsoever.'  .. because opinions are likely to be included in every response.  If the latter was the intended meaning, you might as well have said 'please lie to me when responding.'

RULE #9   '... Thanks for your thankful comments. I read them all and they cheer my heart ...... That said, keep them coming!  ....'

The rule seems to be a correlary of #6, so i won't rehash the problems with requiring positive comments.  It is curious to me however that the GVC is held up as a community and not a single person..... any yet this is the final rule...  or was that the voice of the community herself, saying her heart was cheered?

Hello.  I'm a bit busy, so I didn't take much time to find the right area to put some recs.  I still wanted to contribute, so This is what I feel is worth checking out.  RZ, will be a great buy, once again.  DLLR, should be a good bet.  DXO, under 2, I like.  The next few are longshots that may have an edge, I stress, see for yourself!  THPW, TUWLF, ROXIF,AFRNF,BEXP,HTGLF.

I don't even mess around with anything that can't double in less than 6 months, which implies possible volatility the other way.  None of these stocks are suggested immediate buys, as I believe better prices will be available as this market corrects itself.  Two weeks ago, I bought DLLR at 5.60, and see where it ended up.  If it goes down again, please buy it!  STP is also a buy under 7$, under 6 if possible, but I don't see that being very likely with the supposed alternative energy push coming.

New Bubble Prediction: Alternative energy- I think we are going to use alternative energy to stimulate the economy, because we need something real to sink our teeth into, to distract us from the scuttling of the currencies.  Just my wacky opinion- Peace

You got the idea "Mr. drive by comment" #7.

No wonder why we have guidelines, Ben. Trust me! There's a reason for everyone of them and I will have to make the time to answer you if not for anything but out of respect for you taking the time to read and comment back. I appreciate that a lot. Thanks for your understanding.

My brother, a dream is strong as the people who believe in it. I can’t make things happen unless others join me and if my cause and goals are just, I’ll succeed. If I am not I’ll wither and fail and the unborn mouse will never be born. It’s nature’s law. We can make this mouse a giant lion or can abort the fetus even before it sees the light. It’s our choice, and our believe that we can stay together in what will prove to be very hard time in the near future so we can survive and thrive.

But even if the labour will bring just a mouse, it’s not the size that matter but the value that this mouse brings. How much two rodents brought by one man called Disney made a huge difference in the lives of many and brought a great enterprise to the worlds. Don’t underestimate the power of few people to make a positive change. Although I made good calls and number of people started to find their wings and others started to find the confidence to start, you ain’t see anything yet! Stay around and let time take care of all things.

Always remember, it’s not about me. It is about us. It’s about a random act of kindness.

For the medals, mottos, rules, red ink, etc.. Beside it looked to me like fun to do, highlight important points, or touch on my background, they carry value as well. I am not sure how it evoked some memories from your background but my guess you’re an Italian or were effected by Italy’s action in the past from the many things you said before in our blog. I apologize if it caused you any ill feelings. Fear not! I am a conquest of none but my own mortal self and seek no rule over another soul. Not here and not in my real life.

Please everybody; never shy away being one among a group of people out of fear that you will lose your individual uniqueness. We’re equals and if I exhibit, which I didn’t so far, any sign opposite of that attitude, please call me on it and come warn people about it. I find no joy of the herd mentality but admire a community that adds, build, and make a positive difference.

One day, I’ll move on and will stay always anonymous. It was a promise I made to myself. There’s no gain to me in this endeavor but to pay back my due to heaven that gave me more than I imagined possible even just few years ago. You, making as much as I make, is my pay back and I want you to allow me to do this and judge things by their ends not by their beginnings. I am learning while I am moving forward with my dream in you.

It’s beyond me why people keep accusing me of misleading others, brain washing them, putting them into cults’ mentality, leading them into temptation, or what have you. It's like GoodVibe is so powerful that he's not only taking over Caps but also over Wall Street. It's plain laughable! All I am here for is to encourage you to learn TA. THAT IS IT! Nothing more and nothing less. Why I have to go through all this time waste to just do that is kind of mystery to me but hey live and learn. :)

And that will take me to respond later to the other comment by Ben very soon cause this one will be even longer but I promised.

........

That was awesom arb. I loved the tube a lot! By the way this is how they say it; "Bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered." This is how I hear it. And I don't remember that I said it much. It's not my favorite.

Have a good night everybody!

My bad. I remembered "sheep" which always made more sense to me, plus it was an excuse to post that video. Clearly the web is on your side with pigs.

Sheep get slaughtered because sheep follow, makes sense especially with penny stock scams, sucker rallies etc. I don't really get pigs, what are pigs, exactly, with respect to bulls and bears?

I've heard versions with lemmings too.

I guess my point is you should warn people more about being sheep or lemmings. You have done this in the past and have been clear you don't want anyone to follow your analysis blindly, but this is hidden away. On the other hand, the medals etc. are front and center, and suggest you wish to have followers with strict discipline. This need to be a "leader" with "followers" is what puts people against you, as did the April fool gag. More emphasis on individuality might help your problems with those who get irritated by your style.

I do greatly appreciate your sharing your thoughts. CAPS is so valuable because people like you, Everyday, Tasty etc. share your thoughts as well as just your picks. It will be much poorer if / when you stop doing so.
