I smell a nice correction coming, followed by a nice long OVERALL recession, with some tasty OUTPERFORMING sectors.

Too much housing on the market and still too expensive, unemployment very high, toxic assets huge, people scared with lots of money gone, baby boomers getting ready to break social security and medicare, strong competition from everywhere, plagues, terrorism, pirates (no really, I'm not joking), baseball no longer the most popular sport in America, Chevrolet looking at being a thing of the past..., you get my point?
The New World Order is taking shape fast. And this little rally we've had lately has been nice, but it just shows how fickle, stupid, short sighted, and hopeful people are. Home builders and big banks rallying? Come on!
Get in on cheap defensive stocks, certain commodities, and The Sectors of Tomorrow (cue voice of Super Friends narrator) now! I really like some ETNs and closed end funds like DBS, CHN, and PBD.
There is going to be lots of money to be made, but macroeconomic trends are changing the world dramatically and fast. Bottom up research is just as important as ever, but it seems many people, predictably, are not willing or able to recognize, adapt, and anticipate what is going on or coming.
Disclaimer: I have dramatically improved my CAPS score in a short time without trying too hard or consistently, but still have a long way to go. I plan on getting to the top very soon, but am fully aware as all should be, that the market is able to stay irrational far longer than I am solvent.
