If this post gets recs, i might not have to re-post it over and over. THIS IS FAIRLY IMPORTANT to this project. I have begun buying in on the strategy lab portfolio, and unless you want me to do it without you, you should speak up now.

The allocation is $2,000 per pick, and what i am doing now is looking for 4-5 star stocks from the list, and trying to set some minor limits on the ones that  are dropped, but look a little level. For instance i set the limit on LXP at 3.61, because it had been there there half a dozen times today. I only save .03 x 545, but it feels good to me.
I hope to have over 50% of the stock picked this week, but since i am the least proficient of the group, i would love any help i can get. I can set up a temporary password for fools who want to work the buy on their own stock. It's no hurry, the other Top Stock Bloggers have spent very little of their money. It is also worth noting that, their strategys look nothing like ours, at my first glance.

Interested fools should go look at the site, and check out AllStarPortfolio. Also look for Top Stocks, which is the name of this years 'strategy lab'. Potential AllStarPortfolio Bloggers should read the other Top Stock pickers blogs, and someone needs to write a blog, soon. Not an introduction, but a market or sector commentary. Blog Guidlines.

I will repost this info throughout the weekend.  We will be calling for Limits, and Stops from all pickers. If a fool does not submit a Limit, or a request for time, by Tuesday, we will start buying in at market.    There will be another chat Monday June 29th 2pm mountain USA.

*************

One green thumb per person. Minimum Time Frame 6 months. Players are free to change the pick as often as caps permits.

No Ultras (FAZ was picked before the discussion was finished, and will be closed soonish). No Bear ETFS. No .OB stocks

To qualify for a pick you must:

Have a RATING of more than 99 on the day of pick

   -OR-

Be a "yes"man with a RATING of 97 or higher on the day of pick

   -AND-

Have been a caps player for more than 6 months.

    -OR-

Be in the Top Ten at the time of pitch, or have at one time been the Top Fool.

All picks MUST have a pitch, and a time frame.

To submit a pick Players should attach their pitch to a blog from this caps account. I will then copy that to the pitch on the stocks page, so that it will be visible on both the stock page and the quickstats page. I will of course place your name, and score at time of pick on the pitch.

You can name your stock here, for dibs (will hold for 7 days), but i will not post the stock until you have made your pitch, and picked a time frame, also.

I am willing to share the password with a few someones, if they would like, to facilitate timing

Go ahead and enter an order for the MCD allocation at the market.  If you want to use a limit, go ahead and low ball it 5 or 10 cents below the most recent quote.

I set the limit at 56.25, which is above it's low for the day. High around 56.80, so if we get the buy it's a $20 save, or 1%

First we got rid of .OB picks, now we're not buying 1 to 3 star stocks in Strategy Lab. UltraContrarian is not feeling the love.

If you see CBEH.OB at least 10 points in the green feel free to end it.  I'll just use my other 99+ alias in the future.

I missed that you were starting with 4-5 stars.

I thought the agreement was go in with all picks at market once the game started unless whoever picked it gave you limits or a buy-in strategy.

Ultra - The rules on Wall St. Survivor said stocks needed to be traded on an exchage.

"Survivors can buy any common stock, preferred stock, or ETF listed on NYSE, NASDAQ, or AMEX exchange that is quoted by our data vendor with a bid of $0.25 or higher. Survivors cannot trade  pink sheet stocks, mutual funds, futures, or bonds. Survivors can also trade options in their options portfolio."

rd80, that is the plan, but when i got there all the stocks where on their way into a 'fake' up. It's hard to pick a stock that's up 8% when i know good and well it's going to drop 2-3% in an hour. Seems strange, and counter, to talk for hours about saving 1% on the commission, and then not worry about 3% on the stocks.
The reason i started like that, was i think the trend is down. So if i take a few days to get to the high beta, low star stocks, i might save just a penny?

RD, i will be happy to share the password with you  and you can start as many picks as you like. I know that it's tricky, and i wish i was a chartist, for i feel sure that someone could do a better job than i, and easily. I just look at a stocks last 6 days on yahoo, and then pick a resistance point i think will be easy. I get a majority of my picks down 3-7% that way.

Conversly, it's hard to pick a stock when i see that it's fallen 10% in a month and is in a steady trend down, without it at least pretending to have leveled off. Again, i would be willing to give you the password so you could help.

If FACT (2 stars) is not okay take EMC (5 stars) for me. No need to use a limit (i.e. "market order").

You are doing a really good job, but this "market timing" really makes no sense. If you know which way a stock will move in the next few hours just spend a few days trading and invite all of us to hawaii (I think someone suggested that the staff should do that).

When you end CBEH.OB could you start QXM, Qiao Xing Mobile?  Also please put in a market buy on Strategy Lab.  I'm a month shy of the 6 month requirement but UC is my alternate alias so it should be OK. I'll write up a pitch tonight.
