I will put the link in below for the lazy people like me:)

If they are suggesting another winter like last year or worse, I will be buying salt not gold.

Northern Michigan has had a whopping 5 days above the 80 mark. The water in Lake Michigan is still too cold to really enjoy while swimming......good thing I am not that "large" down there.....it helps keep my blood closer to the core:) I am still 0 for with salmon this year and have about 5 lake trout that I have actually watched swim after the lure on the new Raymarine fishfinder and GPS unit on the boat.

I want some salmon and I am about 2 hard nipples away from going to Florida, Arizona, and California this winter.......Maybe a Mexico in there too. Cozumel has all inclusive offers for $650 right now and that inlcudes air fare. No clue how they are pulling that off. I could drink $650 dollars worth in 2 nights.

Theory to stop you from laughing from the "large" comment.......Back in the day when the volcanoes were so active and kicking out so much CO2 that it makes us look like a blip on the screen, we had an ice age not a warming affect.

El Nino and El Nina can stop giving me a line of BS and just give me 2 possibly 3 good summer months for the love of beach sand and 10 empty Dos Equis on the end of my toes to count the blizzard months with.

BTW- no need to leave the comment about the last one in Michigan turn the lights out. This place conquers all the other places that I have lived. AZ, ID, MD, NC, FL, and a couple others. Either way, I will not be leaving:)

Closing comments: buy salt

I deleted the "i" while reading the name of the Joe guy. If you live in the North East, you might want to do the same.

Michigan is a beautiful state.  If you are the last man there, you may well be the luckiest man on earth.

If you got rid of your governor and lowered the business tax rate maybe the lights could stay on.

We are getting rid of the governor.....She has the same views as Obama and is joining his administration. So luck be the lady tonight JT. She has done a real bang up job for MI, so hope for the best when she does join the Obama Admin.

As for the tax rate.......there is no business in Michigan (car manufacturers RIP), so they have determined that there is no other alternative but to raise the taxes.......again.....misguided. I think Detroit has it's own city tax if you work downtown.

As for the lights, I like the dark mo'better.

Nice call on DWSN!!!!

madcow: awesome post bro. I agree, MI is one of my favorite states, and it will always feel like home. Even though I would freeze my nads off trying to swim in Lake Michigan. Doesn't matter if it's July! :)

Yeah, you need to set up a commodity exchange in northern MI, something like the "Charlevoix Sodium Exchange" ... :)

Yeah man! The CSE baby. I buy salt and if I have any left over I throw it into a container of Lake Michigan fresh water and combine it so that I can make FIRE! See links attached to get the idea.

the last link is classic......"Follow the water!"

I think I might also have to start contacting investors to buy their gold and start stock piling my gold that I will be putting in the pole barn with a master lock keeping it safe:)
