Americans have had enough!

Our politiciens are corrupt to the bone and shameless about it. It started with its obsene display when Cheney, our vice president publicly, and shamelessly was or still is on the board of directors of Haliburton (I know 100% he was on bpoard during clinton). Have you ever heard of conflic of interest?

So..our politicens have nothing to do with us, they are puppets put in power by corporations with money. And corporations are eating out the fabric of our country, like a virus...from inside out. And we are powerless...NO POWER AT ALL.

I have said many times in my other posts that U.S.A. is too big of a country for revolution and pockets of violence will be shut down quickly. We have already 3.6 million people in prisons (1-2% of our population), the highest of any country in the world in terms of percentage and we can easily add another 2%.

I come from Iran and we had a revolution in 1978. The mood of people I notice everyday here in Los Angeles is very similar to the mood of people before the Islamic Revolution. People are just tired of corruption. Obama has let us down big time! He has still not pulled out all our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. This will bring our nation to its knees. If you study Persian, Portugese, Spanish, British, Russian hegemonies you will understand that during big wars with a known enemy those nations get stronger ( for America it was ww1 and ww2) but when it comes to unknown enemies and shady wars, corruption takes place, mercenaries eat up money, and everything becomes disorganized. It's interesting that Persian, British, Russian empires dug their graves in Afganistan, and now it's our turn. Our tax money goes to killing mountain goats, farmers, kids. That can't be good!!!

So in face of all these corrpution and our powerlessness, most people I know, including myself has become absolutly passive! I call it passive revolution because our passivness has a goal.

People are buying less, less meat for example: Every other developed country has strict standards but this country. Here we serve "utility beef" which is basically old cows with diseases in haburgers that feed our children. For years we have asked for better quality controls, with no results. And yesterday I saw in the news that Cows in Chino, California are so sick that they are moved with fork lifts to be slaughtered for our hamurgers...yum yum. I always wanted to taste the meat of a cow that can't walk on its own.

So what we do in face of all these corrution and politiciens who sell their mother for money??!!! NOTHING! because nothing works!!! Nothing works!!! (nothing works with politiciens and nothing does actually work).

You might ask...how does doing nothing works. It's simple economy...supply and demand.

I stop buying beef all together. I stop going to doctors all together. I stop seeing my money greedy dentist all together. I stop working overtime. I stop working for min. wage. I stop driving. I stop traveling. I stop paying taxes. I stop shopping Chinese junk. I stop working for big corporations. I stop buying from big corporations. I stop watching commercials. I stop watching TV alltogther. I stop going to movies. I start doing everything myself...cook at home with products I grow or buy from direct, organic growers. I start reading more. I start doing things myself, not spening a penny but the absolute necessary things like water, flour, vegtables...you get the picture. Some of you may say...so you still rely on brands like Johnson and Johnson because they make the absolute necessary things.

Answer is no. I even make my own soap. Some of people I know might not go as extreme as me but I know they are buying even less of what they really need, They use less shampoo, less water, less of everything.

This new dynamic works against the rich! Works against teh greedy doctors, greedy CEOs.

The very rich has broken the back of this country, and we were absolutly powerless. 12 million people donated 20 dollars to 40 dollars to Ron Paul campaign for Presidency. It took only 7 CEOs  of corporations to donate that much money to Obama campaign.

12 million people vs 7 people. and the 12 million is powerless!!!

This can not stand....this is top heavy. But you think those 7 people care??? nope. Those 7 people could be damn retards from what I know and maybe don't even care what will happen to their kids.

This is sad situation for the U.S. We stood by and watched how tabaccoo companies poisened us, killed us from inside. We stood by and watched how meat factories have given us all sort of cancers and diseases. We stood by and watched how CEOs closed factories and opened factories in Mexico and China. We stood by and watched how few rich people took our taxes and future and gave it to Wall Street. We stood and watched how Bush sent our kids and money to stupid wars. We stood by and watched how we got raped! And now we are depressed, so either we do suicide or we become violent.

Yes. It's time to get your weapons ready. Line up your pennies and buy that gun. You will need it!!!

Some of your posts are really stupid, but I like this one. I think there is a lot of truth in your blog this time. I have noticed the same behavior in myself and my friends and family.

I am a Republican and after the last election I gave up hope all together in our political system.

Need vs want - are my kids tired of that one.

Nobody knows what the heck we are doing in Afganistan. Nobody.

Think about it 10 mil or so unemployed ( we don't really know ho many, could be anywhere between 7-15 mil) , the people in prisons, the illegals, when you combine all these numbers (and their dependents)  you probabaly get 25% of population with no means to support itself other than the govrenment checks.  I also feel it si pretty dangrous. But americans are not the rioting -prone, even compared to Europeans.

Still, if you are unemploeyed and angry what do you do - you go and protest , at least you get you anger cool off and talk to people in the same situation as you. It is a sort of therapy. Given the bad situation it is pretty calm, actually.

But how long the government can support the 25% of the population? Sooner or later the benefits will start being cut, and see the despration roll then.

Really, the politicians in Congress have no clue what they are dealing with. What they should do  - is acknowledge how bad the sitution is and ask people to work together, help each other, appeal to the sense of national pride, or something. They are promising a recovery instead ( so people think all they need to do is to wait a few months and it wil all get back to normal) and the backlash will be only worse for it.

That's a pretty sh*tty statement to make. With 3 family members in the military fighting right now you don't have a clue what's going on over there.

If you are interested enough in my posts to read it and put the time in to respond atleast bring in some valid points

#13 your reply has no points at all. Are you denying that people are out of work? are you denying that our government is not connected to people? Are you denying that we are in a dead-end war?

Like what is yoru point???!!!!

#12) Your 3 family members who are fighting right now are nothing but paid mercenaries. I bet they even don't know why they are there. I bet they don't want to be there.

I have said this many times and I say it again: once I see Afghani Tanks or Iraqi tanks rolling into Los Angeles beaches then I go fight and give my blood for this country, until then we have to stop this BullCrap wars like Vietnam and Iraq that only kills innocent people on both ends.

Who has benefited from the Vietnam, Korea, Iraq war??

Just 1 group: The weapons makers!!! They get our taxes, they get our money, they make some weapons and charge us whatever they want.

I read an artcle that how a lady who got divorced from her Doctor husband got mad and stared her own business. She started to make make-up for soldiers ( sort of camoflage). She said" there is alaways gonna be war". She is not a multi millionare living in Beverley Hills. on the other hand I know a friend from Germany who started his own line of make-up, really good quality German make-up for regular people in the U.S., few months ago he totally went bankrupt.

How can someone become multi millionare from maing cheap quality make-up for soldiers and be a millionare and someone who makes quality make up for women go bankrupt.

Our military is not bound to accounting rules like teh rest of us, they have or they think they have ulimited funds.

Soon there won't be anuthing left in this ocuntry to defend for, because all our money disapears in hands of weaponmakers and mercenaries.

Our Infra structure is going to hell, we have no fast trains, we have no back-up in case oil runs out.

No one has still answered my quastion....how can 7 people have more influence than 12 million people? Is that what you call democracy? This is what you want to have in Afghanistan???

I see no different when a country is ruled by 1 (dictatorship) or 7 people, so stop fooling ourselves.

My mother, father, wife, son, daughter, 6 brothers and 2 sisters all have more influence on me than the thousands of members on caps everyday. Influence comes from where you place your values, if I value money, then influence comes from where I get my money. That is how 7 can have more influence than 12 million.

Right, they put their life on the line everyday because they want to make a few bucks. They don't believe in freedom, they don't believe that America is a great country and can be greater. They don't believe that every person has an individual right to decide things for themselves instead of a goverment dicatating to them what they should eat, wear, say and do.

I've been to Iraq once, and I'm sure I'll either end up back there again, in Afghanistan or in the Horn of Africa (HOA). I know I don't do it because I'm trying to make extra money. The soilders, sailors, airmen and marines (E-2 to E-5) fighting certainly aren't making 6 figure salaries.

Who has benefited from the Vietnam, Korea, Iraq war??

Would I want to live in Iraq pre-war (Saddam Hussein) or post-war? Would I want to live in South Korea or North Korea? Vietnam could of been a vastly different outcome if it wasn't politicized so much, hence I fear for Afghanistan and the outcome there. Obama is afraid to act due to politics.

When you say "Who has benefitted?" you are really asking how do I benefit? and guess what, you don't, except to know that America is trying to do the right thing, just like helping Japan and Europe rebuild after WW II. We didn't have to do that, but we try to do the right thing. You didn't benefit from that either.

USNHR.

You are a noble person but borderline naive and crazy.

How can you make people more free by killing them?

We are occupiers.

How would like if President Ahamadinejad of Iran came to the U.S. with an army to free the people who are in U.S. jails through no fault of their own? Or because they end up in Jail because they are alienated from our society? I still don't understand why we have 3.6 million in prisons in this ocuntry. The U.S. has the most amount of number of jails and the biggest jails in the world, and we have the largest % of people in jail. Millions are wasting their lives in jail everyday.

Where I live I am scared to buy a house in "bad" areas because of gangs. People are getting killed and can't walk their kids down the street because of crime.

I wish before we went to other countries to fix their problems, which technically is non of our business, we should help our own first.

And CIA and military have mostly messed up than being a good force.

In Iran CIA did operation Ajax to bring down a democratic, British educated, lawyer, so that Shah could be back on his crown so we get lower oil prices (check the history, Iranian-British Petrolium, now BP), so our intentions were not always the best.

And you talk about U.S. being a secular country. I see more churches in 4 block radious that I saw in my entire life in entire Iran. Churches are almost at every corner with their depressing, child molesting, presence, and yet you go to Iraq to fight radical Islam? How about we get over the whole Jesus is the god thing and get over this depressing building called churches all around us with depressing people in them praying with depressing candles.

Atleast Mosques look good and are colorfull.
