October 28, 2009 – Comments (5) | RELATED TICKERS: APT , CMP , KWK

10/28  Today my meager investments have lost and lost again.  And I thought I was doing so well.

Apparently I just experienced a balloon waiting to pop.  I'm referring to APT making a big drop today.  CMP making a gradual descent since my purchase near its high water mark.  Then there's KWK the little natural gas company that had made nice gains for me and now has lost all of that and more.

So maybe I should stick with the short term??  But maybe I'm just watching too closely and I'm thinking too short of term?  Woe is me!!

You are not alone!  My portfolio is down around 15% in the last week alone!  I don't know about you, but I feel I have done my part for the long awaited "correction", and can we now get on with our riding of the bull?!?

You are very far from alone. Anyone remaining long over the past three or four trading sessions has just been getting hammered. I refuse to even look at my portfolio, cause I frankly don't even want to know how much it's dropped by. I already know it's bad, but c'est la vie. So go the markets, and what goes down will go up again. ***knock on wood***

And for however bad things might be, they could always be worse. I mean look at KSP, down over $8 per share which equates to a 37.5% drop. Now *that's* bad, and I've gotta feel for whoever is long in that one. And in comparison to them, I feel relatively lucky. My biggest dropper (AIB) was down by a 'mere' 9.79% today, but over the past week or so has just been killed.

I've been hit kinda hard as well. If you don't feel anything has negatively changed about your stocks then buy some more shares while they are on sale.

Oddly enough I've been mostly green with Visa and Verizon but it had been taking hits prior to that when the rest of the market was green, so it's mostly been a wash for me.
