The key in the Sept. qtr is not that they beat by .09 with a .26 eps qtr but that they also raised guidance.
Earnings of $0.26 per share, $0.09 better than the First Call consensus of $0.17; revenues fell 3.8% year/year to $201.2 mln vs the $202.2 mln consensus. Co issues upside guidance for FY09, sees EPS of $1.02-1.06 vs. $0.97 consensus. Co said, "We expect to exceed our previously issued earnings guidance due to our strong year-to-date earnings performance and the favorable cost trends that are positively impacting our profitability.
