we've watched you grow from our little princess into a vibrant young woman.  We've been lucky...we were able to raise you during booming economic times.  Your mother and I have worked hard to ensure you the best opportunities in education.  Being successful has always been challenging, and in these times will be an even greater challenge for you and your generation.  You made us so proud when you graduated MIT...knowing that a young creative woman like you with a degree from MIT would have the world at her fingertips..........which brings me to my next inquiry.....

Here's a business idea to turn that frown upside down.

It's the Happiness Hat, a contraption designed by MIT grad and artist Lauren McCarthy.

The knit cap senses whether or not you're smiling and how big the smile is.

If it's not big enough, a built-in sensor activates a sharp metal rod which pokes you in the back of the head.

McCarthy says it took her three weeks to create the hat, and the sensor and metal rod run on an Arduino board, which is an open source software platform. "The pain feedback is not excruciating, but it is considerably uncomfortable," she says, "a sensation that the user will most likely want to relieve if possible."

I have always thought about what I would do if I ran a factory.  My ideas include:

Slanted floor away from desk, and every chair has wheels.

Make every flourecent light flicker.

All the water fountains only put out a trickle of water that forces thirsty employees to actually put lips on spout.

Shortest employee must wear oompaloompa outfit and pass out chocolate treats during the day.

The list goes on and on like this...  My point is that forcing all my employees to wear this hat would be a welcome addition to my factory.

It's not intended to be an actual product.  It's just intended to make you think.  It's art.

I think this off-the-wall art is becoming more popular.  A couple years ago there was a guy who made an artwork by leaving a faucet running which I gave a thumbs-up to.

I give Lauren a thumbs-up for the happiness hat.

There are many true stories more inspiring than this one and yet I see more movies about white Americans who "help" African Americans.

Guess what we don't need your help. Just stay out of our business. Stop encouraging our youth that sports is all they can do. I want all new African Americans to be engineers, scientists, political personalities.

And meanwhile an Idiot called Sarah Palin gets to be on TV all the time and have a best seller book. Are you that much of an Idiot that you would even read a book of a idiot goose hunter.

I am sick and tired of the ignorance of teh "white America" and I am sorry if I am geralizing too much...but my nager is towards people like Bush, Palin...war monglors, idiots, igonrant people. People who don't admit their mistake even after they made a mistake. Palin still STILL defends her comment about her foreign policy comment (neighbor to Alaska crap).

And it looks to me that many of you are like her. Instead of apologizing honestly for slavery, instead of asking for forgiveness, you say that AFrican Americans are on welfare...so are many white people. Each time I go shopping I see white people with food stamps (in Santa Monica). I see more white homless and beggers than other races.

So instead of putting down others so that you feel better about yourself, how about being an adult, and ask for forgiveness about slavry or native American killings.

If you put other down you might feel better in short term, but you can never have peace with yourself knowing you grandparents maybe killed native Americans in cold blood, or lynched black persons as if they were dogs.

Maybe we should lynch people like Sarah Palin and have African Americans watch that??!!!Myabe white people would like that...that we get to their level. I don't know...All I know is that im sick of movies of white people playing babysitters to African Americans.

I'm sorry I'm white and you are not.  I'm sorry for their being white quarterbacks and coaches.  Seeing them on the field makes me feel so guilty.  I'm sorry about the white people taking over from all those other supposedly great civilizations of the past.  I'm sure they were wonderful.  Let me add that I feel a strong sense of personal responsibility for the loss of these civilizations before I was born due to the color of my skin.

You don't hear Irish Americans whining about this, so let's leave them out of this.  I have never heard Irish Americans ask for apologies from "white people".  

On that note, let me say that in no way do your views taint my opinions of the groups you are whining for.  Your inferiority is of a personal nature rather than being due to your race.  

You are right that there are white people on welfare.  We call them white trash.   We call you Iranian trash.  I'd suggest the same thing to them that I'd suggest to you:  get a job.

It's all about Sarah Palin, I agree.  This mother had no right to stand up for what she believes in.  She isn't smart enough and she should have been busy raising her kids and apologizing to black people for things that happened before she was born.  What was she thinking?

It seems that all white people need to do is to ask Kamarant for forgiveness for slavery and he'll absolve us.  We never owned slaves and Kamarant nor his ancestors were slaves, but this seems to be the proposed deal.  After careful consideration, I'll pass, but thanks for the offer. 

Here's my suggestion:  kiss my shiny white *ss and go back to Iran.

Study your @#$% history.  No race has a lock on horrible behavior.  European behavior has been well documented.  But Asian, African, and Australian behavior has been just as bad to one or more subgroups.
