The downturn inspired a lot of companies to build up big cash hoards. Now that times are looking at least somewhat better, it's high time to ask what exactly they're going to do with all of that moolah.

We know that Warren Buffett has already resoundingly answered that question with Berkshire Hathaway's massive purchase of Burlington Northern. But what about everyone else?

I read an article today about TC looking to buy some Moly or copper reserves/company.  We may be entering a "carniverous" phase, where all these companies with these cash reserves start to get a tad predatory.....
