I've  rarely seen a stock get punished so much over what appears to a small amount of caution in  the outlook,  My model suggest this stock worth $20, three analysts who downgraded the stock to hold have average targets of $18,

I'm wondering  what other investors think of this stock as well as any technological advantages of their product ??

I thought I had already posted to this, but guess I hit the wrong button. If another one shows up, you will know why.

Stec looks interesting and I will put it back on my Watch list until I have time to look closer.

I was Watching it earlier in the year, but it sort of got crowded out.

A quick glance has my interest. It looks like a good longer term play.

Maybe there is something besides negative news that sent it down.

Have a nice weekend.

These are not really independent pieces of information. Once they decide to give a "hold" rating they look at the most recent quote (or indication if the stock does not trade) and the price target they then give depends on their forecast for the benchmark, so usually the target price they give will be very close to the "most recent price" which in this case apparently was at arounf $18.

I am pretty sure that some company will acquire them soon unless the stock price "recovers soon".

Looks like they're getting sued as well.

There may or many not be anything to those suits.

Anyone can sue anyone at anytime about anything.

Class Action suits seem to be the "in" thing with these two law firms these days.

I don't own any STEC and haven't, but I would be more concerned about their sales than the lawsuits.

Still plan to give it a good hard look.

JMO and worth exactly what I am charging for it.

STEC was recently downgraded.  The reason I believe they were downgraded was because the big dogs have finally noticed STEC's products importance and $.  As companies (IBM and other software companies) reckonize this, they see an opportunity to make money.  This could be a bad thing for STEC.

Remember that this company is involved in a commodity based business.

Competition will cause problems for STEC.
