Harry Reid is scared and it's showing

I live in Nevada and often watch the local channels.  Amazingly, one year before the next election, Harry Reid, Democratic Senate Majority Leader, is running at least twenty ads daily on all four of the Reno area channels.

As Clark County (Las Vegas area) has twice the population of the Reno area, I have to assume he is doing the same there.  These are not cheapo ads.  They are highly professional and persuasive.

Clearly he is spending millions, which he has in his massive re-election war chest.  Yet, there is no anointed Republican candidate.  I surmise he is running against the "throw-'em-all-out" ethos reflected on blogs all over the 'net.

If Harry Reid (who has been the senior Nevada senator since Kit Carson explored Lake Tahoe) feels the need to do this, what fears must be going through the minds of other less well-connected incumbents in the House and the Senate?

Anyone see similar behavior in your states?

Turncoat Incumbents like REID, and PELOSI are all but gone. BOXER Is gone In California. They can run all of the ads that they want,. American citizens are finally waking up. I live In Las Vegas (used to live In California) and I see the damage that Dingy Harry has caused first hand. You will see many Incumbents looking for work after the 2010 elections. Mark my words.....   TS

Getting rid of incumbents is usually a good thing.

9 out of 10 incumbents should be out of a job, if voters ever start paying attention.

Reid would probably be better off by just buying votes through his union connections.  Why rely on the uncertainty of advertising, when you could go to the cemetery and pick up all the votes you need, Chicargo style.

Let's assume this is true and Reid is running scared. Elections are still one year away yet Reid will not change his voting pattern. Even though he could possibly redeem himself, he will continue to vote the path to destruction for both himself and this country.

What is the Vegas line on Reid changing his voting pattern?

He knows which side his bread is buttered on.  He'll never change his voting pattern.  He's Obama's boy.

But although I'd vote against him 100 times if I could, his ads are extremely well done.  I fear he'll carry the state again.

I think this is in response to aggressive action by the GOP.  I am a registered Democrat in Colorado and I got a "referendum" in the mail from the Republican party asking me to vote to have Pelosi removed from her position as Speaker of the House.  The Democrats who are in power (lke Reid) are being forced to take aggresive action in response.
