New Track Players in CAPS

We just added some new Wall Street players in CAPS – but they’re a little different from the usual Track Players. Unlike the regular Track Players who follow public calls made by analysts, these new players follow famous portfolio managers via their SEC disclosure statements.

Interested in what sectors interest Warren Buffett? Check out his player page and view his sector tab. Wonder how much of XM Bill Miller owns? Each pick has a pitch that details the number of shares he owns, what his real cost basis is, and other interesting statistics. These players will be updated as they file, and changes in their positions will be marked by replies to their original pitches.

So who are they?
Warren Buffett is there (of course), as well as legends like Carl Icahn and George Soros. There are also well regarded institutional investors like Bill Miller and the NWQ group. All told, there are over 40 portfolio managers being tracked. They are:

Arnold Schneider

Arnold Van Den Berg

Bill Ackman

Bill Miller

Bill Nygren

Brian Rogers

Bruce Berkowitz

Bruce Sherman

Carl Icahn

Charles Brandes

Chris Davis

Chuck Akre

David Dreman

David Einhorn

David Swensen

David Tepper

David Winters

Dodge & Cox

Edward Lampert

Edward Owens

George Soros

Glenn Greenberg

Hotchkis & Wiley

Jean-Marie Eveillard

John Keeley

John Rogers

Ken Heebner

Mark Hillman

Martin Whitman

Mason Hawkins

Mohnish Pabrai

NWQ Managers

Richard Aster

Richard Pzena

Richard Snow

Robert Rodriguez

Ron Baron

Ronald Muhlenkamp

Wallace Weitz

Warren Buffett

Wasatch MicroCapFund

We hope you enjoy watching their performance and using their presence in CAPS as a guide when researching future stock ideas. It is important to remember that all of these players are entered in CAPS as though they assembled their portfolios on September 30th, 2007, though. Their scorecard performance will not reflect the actual performance of their portfolios, because we cannot take into account weighting or the original cost basis, but they will still show a birds-eye view of their holdings.

Fool on,
The CAPS Team

Any hesitancy to throw old TMFer Whitney Tilson on (or under) that bus?

Would einstein be einstein if it wasn't for plank, maxwell, rutherford, boltzman, newton, or kepler? Thanks, I will learn from the masters.  I will absorb their ideas and add my own twist.

I think Einstein would still be Einstein without the shoulders of giants. I just don't think he would have discovered relativity. ;-)

Excellent idea! You guys are continually impressing, so keep up the good work.

Of course, I might be mildly interested to watch what fellow-Nebraskan Buffett is up to... just maybe.
