Wow, what a year....stocks are down and it seems that most people are just getting hammered.  I noticed my portolio is down a little bit from my buy in and that is mostly because I buy and hold; long term.  Some stocks are doing ok (ssl, eeb) and others just have gotten hammered (c, hao).  Over all, I am not comfortable selling any of these, because the ones that got hammered (imo) have a lot of value.  C is a world bank, and hao is a China play and I won't bet against China as they are booming even though the stock market has corrected.  My hope (expectation) is that China will start booming again after the olympics and that it will reach its highs within 3 years (that's a double).  IIF (india play) also has been beaten up lately, however over the long term, India has been a good performer for me and a pull back (50%) is uncomfortable, but acceptable.  Again, India is booming.  My picks are mostly emerging markets and hope to continue to invest there.  If anyone knows how to invest in Vietnam or Cambodia, please let me know as those are two markets that are interesting.  Good luck to everyone.

Cheers

Citibank has it's own federal reserve, it's called Saudi Arabia. There's not much chance of a failure here.
