ah yes.. and the caps point poo-poos show it. I had underestimated the duration of the rally to be sure. however, I maintain strong in my convictions that the rally is only that and not a recovery (for most and for now).
The principals that are currently driving back oil and gold will subside and we will have renewed strength in the commodities for a bit. After that, watch the shake down in all other sectors between now and end of 1st qtr '09. Recovery will be very selective when it does come altough the sheep, beavers and bass will rally some undeserving stock once again. I believe the strongest companies will be flat or fluctuate with a few of the best and biggest getting modest gains between now and then. At that time, (early-mid '09) you need into all the best, seeking the unduely oppressed in civil construct/infrstructr, mats, techs, pharms etc.. I would say late '08, but for the cyclical sell-off in January. Do your due diligence between now and then to capitalize on this great opportunity. Late 1st qtr '09, will be too late. In the mean time, you should be commodities in a larger chunk of your portfolio than normal. It will be fun to watch these sheep, beavers and bass go after undeserving stock early in. Please don't be sheep, beaver or bass! Poor lil' sheep will get caught in the traps with noone to lead them out. The beavers and bass will quietly and quickly exit. The ones to follow (if you follow) will do their due and have much cash. They are the true bulls and bears.
