Pick Requirements
All picks must be underperforms. Additionally, they may be scary, but this is not required.

How Many Picks?
You need 5 picks to be active in the contest, and you can have up to 10. Only underperform picks are allowed. Picks cannot be ended, though, so choose wisely.

Time Frame
This contest will run from October 1, 2008 to October 31, 2008, and the winner will be decided on October 31.

Prize
If there are fewer than 250 players in the 2008 Scariest Stocks in the World contest when it closes, the winner will receive one free year of Motley Fool Stock Advisor. If there are more than 250 players, the winner will get a check equal to the number of players (up to $2,000).

If more than 250 players enter this contest, the next contest will have a prize of $500, but if fewer than 250 players enter, the next contest will have a $250 purse.
