I have spent most of my blog time discussing the newly formed United Soviet States of America and laughing stock of the developing world. I've been busy brushing up on my Mandarin, thinking about how Starwarsesque this whole thing is and wondering where Obe-Wan is hiding until the crisis subsides and the revolution is ready to begin.
I saw a blog today (don't think it was here) discussing bringing back the Guillotine. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing "Hank" Paulson up there myself.
I can't stand the fact that our leaders called the media today and asked them to spin some BS about how the sheep of america now approve this bailout dispite nearly 2 million individuals writing in to Congress at the beginning of the week begging for thier house reps to vote against it (myself included). I didn't even see a poll asking which of us changed our minds? I recall writing in myself and saying.. Good job.. you voted no, now do it again. (My rep is Bill Young from FL who indeed did vote No 2x).
The fact is that most of our congressmen simply said no the first time so they could look good on Camera and then when the lights were out and the pork was securely in the bill they voted yes.
We got Nothing we REALLY asked for. We want to know who's spending the money and on what at what price. I expect this kind of thing to be published on the web. These are mostly public companies so it should affect thier share prices right? What did you buy, and how much did you pay?
In 5 years Paulson and crew will either look like geniouses or they will need to be jailed for the rest of thier miserable existance.. unless we do indeed bring back that Guillotine.
If the chips had indeed hit the fan like they should have maybe people would have been up in arms against the federal reserve, now they just sheep it along and say please Mr Obama when you get in save my overpriced house. Doesn't the media realize that Obama has a better chance of being Assassinated by some Neo-religious Anti Abortion nut case than McCain does of having a heart attack. Maybe we should have paid attention to that VP debate more closely.
I did actually look at some of my picks. I was happy to see RF got a big boost. I closed out my miners and such since they accounted for over 1/4 of my losses. I think community banks with good balance sheets should do well in the next couple of months.
