A Bug In CAPS?

June 24, 2008 – Comments (2)

I'm wondering if I found (or perhaps worse, CAUSED) a bug in CAPS.

I'm not talking your usual type where there was a stock split and CAPS didn't take it into account properly, or a lucky charm not appearing.

Look closely at my active picks, and you'll see that it's 201.  I'm too lazy to actually count them all, but either I have 201 picks, or I have 200 and CAPS is saying it's 201.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

I used to be a game tester at nintendo...and my bug is better than yours.

When I try to end a pick which is over 7 days I get an error message. It happens 100% of the time with firefox or IE. I reported it to TMF and they dont know why.

The only way I can end a pick is by going to the ticker page.

On top of that I can't login to caps from the fool website. I can only login from MSN. When I try to login from the fool it tells me I need to make a password and it will send it to my email address.....which it says is "blank" literally.

The only way I can even login is by importing my cookies from my old computer and using my msnlive ID. Talk about wierd?

Oh yeah and they don't know why that happens either...called msn and fool, sent solution.

There is a bug that I have been trying to track down for years that allows some players, occasionally, to make 201 picks. I think it has something to do with multiple picks in pending, but I have never been able to replicate it.

If everyone could do it, I would work harder to track it down, but there are only 7 players that are affected, so I leave it.

Hans - you are an MSN CAPS player, so you can only login from For techncal reasons which I don't understand, you cannot get here via I still don't know why you need to go to the ticker page to end picks, though.
