A New Economy in Energy

The wild west frontier of alternative energy is being set right now. As I drive and travel through our nation, I see wind mills sprouting up everywhere. From Colorado to Wyoming, gigantic windmills cover the praries. On the coastal cliffs of Maui, huge windmills stand tall producing energy for the island. Windmills are every where. Then I see solar panels on roofs and solar farms in the barren Kona lava field on the Big Island of Hawaii. Then I think to myself... this is just the United States. What are other countries doing? Is China and Europe taking similar stances or are they ahead of the United States when it comes to the use of alternative energy?

Why is now the time for alternative energy? The main thing that comes to my mind is freedom from oil and autonomy to efficiently live and thrive. In the next two to four years, we'll see the infrastructure set up, but in the next decade, we'll be able to thrive. After paying off the infrastructure, companies will be able to save money on utility and energy cost and create jobs or put money back in their companies. Families will be able to put money back into the economy once their energy costs come down. It's tight now because we're setting in the infrastructure and alternative energy companies are fighting for supremacy, but once the cream of the companies rise to the top, we'll see a whole new economy set up in the United States...

Any insight to great ETFs or alternative energy stocks are welcome because the wild west is out there and companies are fighting for their claims...

China's Solar Industry is Shining:

This is a timely clip about the China solar boom with the CEO of JA  Solar. He answers the question about Europe being a major market player. I also think it means that the United States is prime for the infrastructure to be built!
