Two things I wanted to share.

First, the bad one.  This is the type of news that when you hear you can't help but share it because you're so stunned that it happened.

I used to live in St. Catharines, ON, which is next to Niagara Falls.  While there, I took martial arts for a couple of years from a guy who was a student of Harold Howard.  Howard had his own martial arts school in Niagara Falls and is probably best known for being a finalist of UFC 3 after Royce Gracie threw in the towel before the fight, and then losing the final to an alternate, which resulted in some of the rules being changed.

Anyway, this morning I get an IM on Facebook from a friend who asked me if I heard the latest about Harold Howard.  Turns out on Monday night be beat a man and woman with a hammer and then led police on a high-speed chase through Niagara Falls before "intentionally" crashing his pick-up truck into the front of the Fallsview Casino.
