Hi everybody.

with Fathers day looming, my thoughts turn to my dad and what to do with the investments I made for him.

you see last year his broker(Edward Jones) cold called him and talked him into a nice little diversified portfolio. I can't really argue the picks since their historically safe. Tgt, Msft, Pfe, Ge, Wfc.

My issue was with the timing. Why would you put a retiree all in equties right before one of the worst crashes in history.

I knew the market was going down ( but I never imagined how far) How could a professional not know this.

Any how My dad was pissed off and gave me 3 grand and said go make me some money kid.

bought him oil plays Uga and aav.

I think I should of bailed last week. But decided to wait till Jul4th when driving seasons over.

Am I misguided or do fools think I should put in the sell for monday.

I'll be seeing Dad this sunday and I'm sure he'll be happy with the %75 gain. I'm probably just being greedy.

Happy Fathers day to all.

I think oil still has some legs..  Oil futures have been shooting up over the last few weeks.  (I bought a bunch of oil stocks too, and I am holding out for a few more months at least.)

Take your profits. I was expecting it to go til end June before the correction.  I guess the smart boys began 2 weeks earlier. Still a good time to build up the more long term plays tho with the correction.  And grats on making your dad some money ;)
