Afghan War will Crash The Stock Market: Obama's Incompetent

August 10, 2009 – Comments (19) | RELATED TICKERS: FRPT.DL , LMT , BA

The Afghanistan War is proving how horribly incompetent President Obama CONTINUES to be as Commander in Chief.    You see.. His Incompetence started in the very beginning of Obama's presidency in not being able to convince a single nation, a single NATO Ally to increase their troop levels 1 soldier... NOT 1 SOLDIER!!!

Where are the Anti-War Protestors??????  There sure were Hot and Heavy when things were going badly in Iraq and totally absent now that things are going extremely badly today....

What changed??????  Oh... That's right....   ANTI-WAR Protestors are also SUPER-CHARGED  TURBO ENGINE  ULTRA  Karl Marx  Communists....  And they don't care how many Soldier's lives are dying due to the Incompetence of President Obama.... Just as long as they get their Socialist PET PROJECTS and STIMULUS CASHOLA stuffed down their pants....

These Anti-War Protestors litterally consist of Socialist and Communist Organizations that have almost always surfaced at Anti-War Protests when the President was Bush.   They consisted of toddlers playing "DEAD" blocking Government Building Entrances.....  Blocking Much Needed Supplies to our Soldiers such as Body Armor....

These Anti-War Protestors do not actually care about the lives of 1 single United States Soldier.
They only care about pushing their Socialist Agenda down American People's Lives....

Where are the Anti-War Protestors??????   If they seriously cared there should be a HELL STORM of Angry Protest going on right outside my Window.... Seriously.. There should be.... RIGHT NOW!

Yet.... All I see is absolute Silence....  Nothing.....  OBAMA is commander in chief so the Protest Signs have been Recycled for Compost...   Even the ever present "TRUTHERS" are at least poking around alive and well pumping their Anti-Bush BDS rhetoric on Motley Fool Blogs from time to time.

At least I hear from the TRUTHERS still... I just don't see a single ANTI-WAR Protestor ever since the Messiah got Elected thanks to ACORN.

Meanwhile my confidence in Secretary Robert Gates has fallen off a cliff ever since Gates decided we were spending too much money on Defense and afterwards said we didn't need any more than 22,000 Army Soldiers by 2012.

The Reality is this war is being conducted ON THE CHEAP while $1.8 TRILLION is being dumped straight down the TOILET in the form of Stimulus Spending.

Stimulus Spending???? Stimulus Spending is more important than the Lives of American Soldiers?????

What STIMULUS SPENDING anyhow??? I don't see any STIMULUS!!

Obama's idea of Stimulus is spending upwards of $17 MILLION on re-building, re-branding, his website..    Seriously.... IT LITTERALLY WAS SPENT!!!    To RE-CREATE HIS PROPAGANDIST WEBSITE!!

Now Obama's spending CASHOLA pumping up more PROPAGANDIST websites for his Health Care Take Over...

Obama already spends an Undisclosed amount of American CASH on 32+ CZARs!!

WHAT STIMULUS?????  The only one getting stimulated is the U.S. FEDERAL Government while the American People are left picking up the Scraps.....  We get the back of the SOUP LINE and a Phone Call that another U.S. Superhero has died today and President OBAMA gets 8 Brand new FIGHTER JETS approved by CONGRESS + MILLIONS of DOLLARS spent on Vacation Trips, Martha's Garden Trips, Flights over New York City to "Take Photo Ops" and God only knows what else he has spent money on.

He certainly hasn't spent 1 penny on improving the lives of the people he promised he would improve.

I'd rather that Stimulus money be used on UP ARMORING more of our Vehicles in Afghanistan and Iraq.... How about buying some HMEEs  which save the lives of soldiers who would be killed still riding SEEs today..... Instead of $17 Million spent on building a bigger and better WWW.RECOVERY.GOV?????

Check it.. In the Month of July.. Around JULY 10th.  A Signed Contract was done to fund re-creating Obama's Precious PORK-ULOUS  Web Site.

I'm listening to you, do you have any links or stories with info on how the Afghanistan war is going poorly?  I thought we just took out the main Taliban leader across the border in Pakistan?

As for protesting the war, I was out there protesting the war in Iraq before it started - saying "This is utter madness!  Why should we start a war?!?".  The Afganistan war was different, it started because a Taliban led government in Afghanistan was protecting the architects of 911 from the US.  And this government had supported them.

I'm not a fan of being involved in any war, but with both Afghanistan and Iraq, I would rather that we stayed and tried to fix things that WE broke, rather than abandon the wars and cause more suffering.  Maybe this is the wrong perspective, but its my current one.

If Obama suggested starting a war with Iran, Korea or any other country, I would protest and want him out of office.  I think the current situation is different, he's trying to finish up our actions, allowing people to come home and not abandoning a real problem.

Varchild, excellent post !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The American people must not be afraid to stand against this dictator. You have made many great points.  So much money has been taken from us and used as the Great One sees fit. Where has all the money gone ? I am so thoroughly disgusted. I want my country back....  I'm not sounding very articulate, but I'm so angry. Our troops should be getting more of what they need, also.

And what happened to "For the People, by the People"? Obama  feels he is above the majority of Americans and obviously doesn't care that most Americans disagree with many of the descisions he has already made.

I wish I could rec this 10 times.

I was reading an article straight off Drudge Report which actually doesn't do anything except link up articles off other websites.

The following article is from the online portion of the Wall Street Journal:

The Drudge Report happens to be the #1 most read BLOG in the entire BLOGOSPHERE so I am shocked you missed this article.... Unless of course you don't read Right Leaning Websites Like I do...

But, as Right Leaning as Drudge Report and perhaps Wall Street Journal are....  You can't ignore a direct quote from

General McChrystal.  It's straight from the General who was selected to speak about the needs in Afghanistan right now and he is the one expected to ask for more Troops (perhaps beyond the numbers promised by Secretary Robert Gates).

So... Go ahead.. I'm used to it.... BASH  Varchild2008 for getting all of his news from Conservative Sources...

But, this really comes from the General... This is HIS perspective....  The Strategy in Afghanistan simply isn't working and needs to be addressed.  I am afraid our President of the United States Barack Obama is too busy building WAR ROOMS to oppose the American People on Health Care Reform and very little of his time actually trying to WIN THE GLOBAL WAR ON TERRORISM!!

P.P.S.  If it makes anyone feel better I do read DAILY KOS, quite regularly and I find myself continually amazed that there are a number of liberals who tend to agree with the realities we are facing even if they don't agree with Conservatism as the solution.

President Obama wants the phrase " GLOBAL WAR ON TERRORISM!!" to be abolished.

Therefore, I am going to add that phrase about a dozen more times in this comment to help make sure the phrase isn't forgotten and thus those who died on 9/11 forgotten.

President Obama may not like the phrase but Varchild2008 sees with his own eyes the sad, sad, sad, truth that there are still Terrorists, Global Wide, wrecking havoc on innoncent people's lives for their own selfish, evil, purposes.

Bush started the wars in Iraq and Afganistan with approval of the Congress, if I remember correctly. What Obama got to do with anything? Obama doesn't know anything about warfare I would assume, so he has to rely on his advisors. Everybody was saying Gates is doing great job. So, if things are going poorly, blame Gates.

Thanks!  I sure was hoping that no one would come out against my use of punctuation or overuse of it.  Because I hate to have my voice blocked and told to shut-up simply because I chose to get a little heated in my rant....

The punctuation shows the emotion level that I have and had when I read article after article about how our soldiers are getting killed in Afghanistan and President Obama wants to make the debate about Health Care reform.

Where's the priorities?  Varchild2008's punctuation or the Global War on Terrorism?

I can't use enough punctuation to describe my anxst every waking moment over another soldier's life killed by a Terrorist, while President Obama continues to refuse to want Victory in Afghanistan.

Wow Varchild.  You need to lay off the Drudge & FAUX News, seriously.  It is not healthy to fill your mind with that much ignorant propaganda.

I am an anti-war person (I say "person" because I never actually protested), and I was very vocal about it when Bush was in office.  I have been quieter now because I'm willing to give Obama a chance to do his thing.  He got out of Iraq which was my #1 priority basically since it started, because it was an unjustified, unprovoked, usless war.  Afghanistan is a little more understandable.  I still don't like it, I would still like to see us pull out of there tomorrow, but I get it.  And I'm cool with Obama taking some time to try and sort things out there.  If we're still there by the time the next election rolls around, my sentiment towards him may change.  Is this a little more logical than I'm a "  SUPER-CHARGED  TURBO ENGINE  ULTRA  Karl Marx  Communist....  who doesn't care how many Soldier's lives are dying due to the Incompetence of President Obama.... Just as long as I get my Socialist PET PROJECTS and STIMULUS CASHOLA stuffed down my pants...."?

Also settle down about the end of the Global War on Terror.  Terrorism is huge, used by various peoples with various agendas for various reasons, and for us to declare war on all of it is ludacris.  Get over it.  Nobody is forgetting 9/11 nor the people who died there.  If you need a title or a branded war to remind you of it, then that's too bad.  The rest of us won't forget it, regardless of what we call things.

But seriously.  You're clearly a Limbaugh-style conservative, and no amount of discussion will ever convince you that someone like myself, an Obama supporter, could ever me anything more than a secret muslim socialist commie America-hating terrorist bastard.  And that's cool.  Because my opinion of neocons is similarly low, and it's doubtful that any amount of discussion would change my opinion either, after a post like this.  So I guess we're even.  Enjoy the rest of the presidency, 'cause to quote Dear Leader, "You ain't seen nothin' yet".  Only 1,258 days left.

Interesting post  But I don't see how you can blame Obama for the current situation.  For starters, at no time did Obama pretend to be an anti-war candidate.  He spoke in hawkish tones about Afghanistan throughout his campaign.  He objected to Iraq, not because or any principled stance against war, but rather because it was the wrong war.  His Secretary of State is a known war/chicken hawk who would happily nuke Iran back to the stone age.

Furthermore, twenty seconds of Google research would reveal that Obama, like Bush, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.  The CFR is a pro-war (anti-fighting it themselves) group of chickenhawks that is interested in spreading democracy by the sword.  Their magazine Foreign Affairs is coffee table reading in every Statist home.

Groups like Code Pink and are indeed tired, old socialist/fabian institutions that oppose war only when it doesn't fit their domestic agenda.  They disgust me.

The US military is the most socialist institution in the world.  The pinko left should be fully behind it.  All standing militaries become bloated ineffective bureaucracies.  Professional soldiers and professional mercenaries have few skills that transfer to the private sector.  They make excellent money during wartime, far more than they would as a Walmart greeter.  In fact, if they get promoted high enough they get a shiny oak desk and lackeys to serve them coffee and do all the real work.  It's quite nice.  From paper generals down to disgruntled enlisted, there is no interest in cutting off this tasty paycheck.

If you really want to be a part of the antiwar movement then you must embrace liberty.  I highly recommend perusing and particularly the writings of Rothbardian antiwar journalist Justin Raimondo.  He is fantastic.
