ALIF.ob Great Value and Speculative Multi-bagger.

February 01, 2011 – Comments (23) | RELATED TICKERS: ALIF , NIVS , LPIH

I think ALIF.ob is a great value (price today 0.78) and a great speculative multi-bagger.P/B 0.78  Trailing PE 4.48.  Profit Margin 33%Insiders own 34%.  3M owns 10% at $1 per share.

Equity=63,353,000/63,810,000 shares= 0.99 with accounts receivable Tangible assets=30,382,000/63,810,000 shares=0.48 without accounts receivable.

ALIF made 0.08 last quarter and 0.27 in the last 4 quarters according to my calculations.

IMHO I believe ALIF is a screaming buy!!!  They are growing revenue and earnings. They are expanding their business and healthcare programs. They are doing really cool things which down the road could make them very profitable.  I’m talking facebook profitable.

The Worst case scenario for ALIF is they are not able to collect a dime of their accounts receivable and their net tangible assets remain 0.48 cents per share.  That means a person that buys at 0.78 cents is paying 0.30 cents for the following;

1.  96% increase in I-phone/I-pod/I-pad downloads in 2010.

2.  Expanding their android product line to 30+ new titles for 2011.

3.  Expansion into health applications such as Glucomo and NeuroDermo that provide mobile telemedicine allowing patients, caregivers, doctors, and hospitals to share and communicate through mobile mediums such as smart phones, tablets, net books and other mobile internet devices.

4.  ALIF has agreed to a joint venture with 3M Company ("3M": NYSE: MMM) to launch three distinct pilot projects to co-develop innovative joint mobile products in 2011.

5.  Start a business with Opus. M- A unified mobile commerce solution for businesses to extend content onto mobile platforms.

6.  Be an avatar on TV with MoPA-TV which stands for "mobile participation television". It is an interactive television game show format that allows viewers the opportunity to be a participant on a live TV show from their very own home and to see them represented on their TV screen in real time.

7.  Augmented Reality (AR) reminds of stuff I saw watching Star trek as a child. The AR activated animations may contain still images, videos, audio, 3D models, 3D animations and even interactive objects. An AR “marker” can store a lot of information, allowing customized developments or enhancements in all industries. These include but are not limited to: enhanced printed marketing materials enriched instructional manuals, interactive medical visualizations.

Disclosure: This is my second Largest RL position.

You should post this on the ALIF board as well. It has been dead for quite some time.

Disclosure: I own ALIF.ob

Normally I'd hold disclosures for the end, but I don't want anyone thinking I'm pulling any tricks here. What you said above basically says it all.... people are freaking out about AR's and though it has some merit, I can't believe I'm able to snipe shares at the current price. Admittedly I haven't purchased any shares in the past week and won't be doing so for at least a few more days, but my plan is to continue adding under $1.

I've liked ALIF for a while now (see here and here) and definitely think they are a solid buy right now.

Best of luck!

I own shares of ALIF btw.

IMHO I have always considered ALIF a buy under $1. I suppose we will have to wait until they post earnings before folks become less skeptical. ALIF has too much going for it to not do good things. Very good post... you said it all!

openhanded, if you are looking at a pre-January 2011 figure for accounts receivable, you are missing that the M-Health purchase announced on January 5th was purchased using AL's accounts receivable.  They got an interest in that company in exchange for that of course, but my problem is that I can find nothing anywhere about what that company is.  Speculative is the key word.

Nice pitches on all your picks. I'm not sure if the Fool is still taking one pitch a week for a focus article or not, been a month since I've seen one, but I'd be pretty certain that yours would be in contention!

#13 - I saw that brief dip and wondered what's up.  I have seen that sort of action right before some news comes out that really moves the stock.  I am holding my long position hoping that an earnings report or some other positive news causes the stock to pop.

I'm wondering if it might be some kind of manipulation.  For a similar drop, which was then followed days later by a big move up (which seems to be holding despite some decay), take a look at Unilife (UNIS).  To hear that you've seen this sort of thing before a news catalyst is indeed something that "makes you go hmm".

I hope you guys are right.  I've been accumulating under $1 and am getting a little nervous, here.  Especially when I see everything else in the market going up and ALIF going the wrong direction.  I'm done buying more.  Ave price now for me is $.82.  I could really use some good news.

Ok, I apologize in advance if this thread gets flooded with three previous comments all containing the same news link...I'm hoping it won't happen though.  In the event that none of them end up posting, I wanted to give an alert that there's been a new release from PRNewswire-Asia on ALIF.  Market response has been rather tepid.  You can find a link through Google Finance's page on ALIF.  (Don't want to try including it again, because I suspect that TMF is blocking my post for copyright reasons or something.)

#17 - Is this the news you mention? (which they just announced in advance of their earnings report which is due to come out Friday)

Artificial Life Reaches 58 Million Mobile Apps and Games Downloads

I think that the market is still waiting to see if those numbers will be reflected in their earnings, or if it's just more PR without any real substance.  I'm holding my position until Friday, then I may add to my position if the market reacts positively, as I expect it will.

I was thinking, maybe the Fool has a screening program that looks at any embedded links and compares the text found there to any copy&pasted text in the comment to be posted, and if there's too much material that has been copied over, the post gets cancelled.  It's the only thing that makes sense...this has happened to me a few times already.

Huh?  Lots of stocks are selling off today.  Presumably has to do with the downgrade of US debt by S&P.

I sold ALIFE and all my other China small caps except for BYD and I reduced that to 100 shares. It is too bad for any legit companies... if there are any left, but there are too many RTO/ Small china caps that have purposefully lied and manipulated investors.
