Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday.
Talking to reporters, the House speaker was defending a jobless benefits extension against those who say it gives recipients little incentive to work. By her reasoning, those checks are helping give somebody a job.
"It injects demand into the economy," Pelosi said, arguing that when families have money to spend it keeps the economy churning. "It creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name."
Pelosi said the aid has the "double benefit" of helping those who lost their jobs and acting as a "job creator" on the side.
Hmmm. Unemployment a job creator? Why not double the benefits...think how many jobs would be created then? And why not extend them to independent contractors as well......?
Heck we are already running a $2 trillion dollar deficit....what is a few hundred billion more?
The problem is humanity must produce for civilation to function....why should an unemployed person get the product of a producing person? Why should the check out clerk at the grocery store serve the tens of millions of unemployed?
Why should a nation which doesn't produce get the production of a nation that does produce?
Pretty soon, few nations will accept our currency...and at that point the FREEDOMS we have come to enjoy will be over as we will no longer be able to consume. The bankers made sure of this by bailing themselves out and cutting off credit to a credit dependent consumption nation.
MOST OF OUR JOBS SIMPLY SUPPORT OUR CONSUMPTION.....
It appears our politicians are preparing for war....government cannot stop consuming and the only way for it to continue is force other nations to accept our currency.....HOWEVER, more and more nations are pushing back.....
with 700 bases in over 100 nations....it will be interesting to see how many we can fight.....
