Personally I think it's just a tragic confluence of way too many powerful people acting individually in their own self interests, but I'm open to other theories if they aren't too "out there."

I don't subscribe any importance at all to the Nobel Prize other than entertainment value as the right-wing media makes fools of themselves. If there is some sort of secret conspiracy going on, a Nobel Prize award isn't exactly the most subtle or effective way to carry it out.

U.S. Local, State, and Federal Governments are collectively the largest consumer in the world..... responible for OVER half the U.S. GDP.

In 9.09...revenues to government evaporated....a few of us knew it was coming and are aware of the implications....it is something beyond the scope of CAPS and could be one of the most difficult issues to ever confront a U.S. President.

Let's leave it at that for now........

...a number of well-heeled market participants “bought” substantial tonnage worth of gold futures on the London Bullion Market [LBMA] and immediately told their counterparties they wanted to take instantaneous delivery of the underlying physical bullion.

Because these banks did not have the bullion to honor their contracted commitments, one or both of them approached the counterparties and asked if there was any way they could settle this embarrassing matter quietly on a “cash basis” to absolve the banks from fulfilling their physical bullion delivery obligations.  The purchasers were not interested in a ‘cash settlement’ and demanded delivery of physical bullion giving these banks 5 business days to resolve the situation.  A premium of as much as spot plus 25 % [that would be 1,250 – 1,300 per ounce of gold] was offered to settle this matter in fiat money instead of the embarrassment of a very public “failure to deliver” on the part of the London Bullion Market Association.

Stunningly, if accurate [and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is not accurate], this means that gold is already in SEVERE backwardation and this fact is being hidden from the public.

To think that anyone wonders why our financial system and fiat money will soon to be TOAST?

Yes...the shutdown is occuring.

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon plans to announce even more spending cuts and state worker layoffs in a couple weeks, his budget director said Friday.

Year-to-date net general revenue collections have dropped 10 percent from last year, to $1.7 billion from $1.9 billion.

Net general revenue collections for September decreased 16 percent to $648.7 million, down from $774.7 million in September 2008.

Money is running out fast against a HUGE pile of debt.  Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Massachusetts, California, Indiana, Arizona, Florida, Maryland......and many many more......money is simply evaporating in 9.09.

And it it not just states running out of money...it is cities and counties.

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Grand Rapids City Manager Greg Sundstrom says there will be a "struggle" to balance the city's budget, now $24 million dollars in the red.

"Undoubtedly, there will be signficant layoffs of city employees.

First ask why are taxes evaporating in 9.09?????  Then what if...... 

What if a nation with the largest government in the world with the largest government obligations simply runs out of money and no one will lend it any.....what would the government be forced to do????????

What would be the consequences of each decision???

How is that for a what if game??????????????????  Now we are playing all in for the ultimate stakes.....survival.

Could you imagine if Fools really understood the implications of MOAP????? 

Somethings better left for people to Feel rather than see.
