What is coming is something few of you are prepared for......

Much of what you put value in will be worthless or near worthless as time progresses.

Our perspective that we are citizens of a nation will change.

July 10 (Bloomberg) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev illustrated his call for a supranational currency to replace the dollar by pulling from his pocket a sample coin of a “united future world currency.”

“Here it is,” Medvedev told reporters today in L’Aquila, Italy, after a summit of the Group of Eight nations. “You can see it and touch it.”

The coin, which bears the words “unity in diversity,” was minted in Belgium and presented to the heads of G-8 delegations, Medvedev said.

This man doubles his post count when he gets something right. Well ehdurrurrrrr, he's a permabear there 50% right. Imagine if he gets the 666 one correct. It may or may not happen, it's just a point on the chart i'm sure all the technical analysts saw also. Some analysts predict 666 by August, Alstry is a permabear with a CuShiON~~~

More importantly, assume there is a global currency instituted. How does the IMF or whomever is in control of it establish conversion rates from existing soverign currencies? There must be a way to maximize the individual conversion factor, by either holding physical foreign currencies that will convert at a more favorable rate than US$, or through a FOREX account. 

Which currency/ies are likely to outperform the US$ in this conversion?

Prose, I don't know how 'the opposite is about to happen' in this situation.  Have you been looking through the world with some thick rose colored glasses?   Do you just not see what's going on?  Some of the animals in the forest are aware the place will be in flames soon.  This far in, one should be as prepared as possible for this country to get crazy.  

If you don't realize how different things are from the way the TV depicts them, then you cannot see the potential energy of this crash.  It would be a whole different story if we were informed, but then, that is the main reason the whole world needs a 'correction'.  

An ignorant public has rolled out the red carpet for it's own exploitation, from people with no good plan for when the whole system becomes unsustainable.

Perhaps the conclusion that there be one world currency has been long overdue.  I don't remember anyone thinking in ancient times that currency was ever preferrable to gold.  Maybe the Bible writers were simply concerned that the cornering of gold, which occurred in their time, wasn't such a good idea.  Perhaps this is the reason why we even have paper currency, you know, simply because there isn't enough gold in the world for everyone to have a piece of it and still maintain their incentive to obtain more through hard work. 

The issue is frankly a free trade, free market concern.  Until human beings can be PROVED trustworthy with currency, and so far they haven't, then gold will remain the counterweight to 'Central Banks Gone Wild'.  This is the solution proposed by Nixon in the early 70's, one which has worked well, but not perfectly, in keeping Central Banks honest.  Nixon was also responsible for opening up China, a move which has seemed to spare America for an extended period, even though we have clearly squandered the opportunity, choosing instead to sleep around with 'other people's money'.

By having one universal world currency which trades in comparison to gold itself, there is at least the chance or opportunity for persons to defend themselves from Predatory Governments, by choosing an alternative form of currency, just as we are able to do today, without the Political risks that come from exchanging currency to currency and then having to worry about local laws.  I wouldn't want to renig on a loan in Iran...Sharia Law being a tad harsh and unreasonable to begin with.

I suppose with all of the failed currencies through time, it does now make some sense that the Three Wise Men, who visited the child in the manger, had the good sense to show up with something of value.  Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh.

Isn't it interesting that the Vulcan Greeting as expressed in that classic 'Star Trek' was to 'Live long and prosper'.  Identically the same as the Greeting from the Three Wise men.  But shhhhhh, don't tell anyone.  They will think that Star Trek was a subversive Religious Cult looking to secularize existing Religious belief.  We can't have any of that in the world, especially since we so loathe the very essence of who we are.
