A WHILE BACK.....THE FOLLOWING FORECAST WAS MADE IN WRITING.....

By the end of Summer....most CAPs players should have most the following perceptions:

1.  That America is heading to its GREATEST Depression in History.

WE KNEW IN 9.09 WHEN THE FDIC, PENSION GUARANTY, FHA, AND FNM WERE OUT OF MONEY.

2.  That residential and commercial construction will pretty much come grinding to a halt.

RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION DOWN OVER 80% AND COMMERCIAL PRETTY MUCH NON EXISTENT.

3.  That Auto Sales will slow to a trickle.

DOWN 50% BUT FOR EVEN MORE DEBT FOR CLUNKERS

4.  That cities, counties and states will be forced to fire hundreds of thousands of workers...maybe millions.

WITH PRACTICALLY EVERY CITY COUNTY AND STATE FACING THE MOST SERIOUS FINANICIAL IN HISTORY.....THE LAYOFFS ARE SKYROCKETING ACROSS THE NATION

5.  That many of our schools will be forced to shut down or scale way back.

PRACTICALLY EVERY SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY ARE NOW CUTTING AND SLASHING JOBS

6.  Unemployment or the fear of unemployment will reach the highest levels in our lifetime.

THIS IS A DEAD LOCK.

7.  Bankruptcies and loan defaults will explode to levels never seen in history.

BASED ON THE CURRENT RISING TRAJECTORY....WE ARE WELL ON OUR WAY

8.  Earnings for many of our corporations will be on track to be simply a memory and no longer reality.

IF THE DECLINE IN CORPORATE TAX RECEIPTS ARE A TELL.....TIME HAS TOLD

9.  Motley Fool will be known as the spawning ground for one of the most accurate economic forecasting disciplines in the World....Alstrynomics.

IF THE ABOVE EIGHT ARE NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE....NOW THAT VOLCKER IS FINALLY ADMITTING OUR ECONOMY IS STUCTUALLY BROKEN..........IT JUST SHOWS THAT ALSTY WAS A FEW YEARS AHEAD OF THE GAME WITH THE SCREAMING BLOGGER CALLING FOR RESTRUCTURING A LONG LONG TIME AGO.

10. Deej will actually like Alstry and agree that Alstry was right all along.D

WHERE IS MY BUDDY DEEJ....ALL I KNOW IS ALSTRY LIKES THE WEEDHOPPER.

If the vast majority of the above fail to materialize....Alstry's done.  Period.

9 PLUS OUT OF TEN....IT IS AMAZING THAT THERE ARE STILL ALSTRYBATERS.

INTERVIEW - Yemen says has proof Iran backs northern rebels

ANGER IS RISING AROUND THE WORLD....TENSION REACHING CRITICAL LEVELS AS WE APPROACH 1.01.10

Tempers flared last night in the Irish parliament during a debate on the budget after a backbench MP from the Greens shouted "fuck you, fuck you" at a member of the opposition. Paul Gogarty later apologised for using "unparliamentary language" against the veteran Labour MP Emmet Stagg during heated exchanges over the government's plans to cut social welfare payments.

Gogarty said he was prepared to lose his seat at the next general election as a result of the public backlash against the drastic budget, but would "take it on the chin". The cuts were needed as Ireland had been "screwed" by the actions of others, he said.

Cowen's administration said this week that tough action was vital to repair the damage caused to Ireland's finances by the economic and banking crisis of the past two years. Unlike Gordon Brown, Cowen has risked deepening a slump that has wiped 10% off gross domestic product this year by announcing swingeing cuts in public spending.

Public sector unions, charities, NGOs and churches are furious over cuts in workers' pay, unemployment benefit and welfare payments to the disabled, as well as almost €1bn (£900m) lopped off capital spending projects. They believe the poorer and most publicly spirited sectors of Irish society are paying a higher price for the collapse of the Celtic Tiger economy than are the property developers and banks they accuse of fuelling an unsustainable boom.

Among rank and file gardai there is a new sense of anger over cuts which for the average police officer will mean a drop in salary of more than €200 a month.

Before Christmas the GRA's 12,000-strong membership is to vote whether to take industrial action – a move which would be illegal under Irish law. The justice minister, Dermot Ahern, has described any strike action as "an affront to democracy".

Other public servants such as teachers have also been badly hit by the cuts announced by the finance minister, Brian Lenihan. The 31,000-strong Irish National Teachers' Organisation says the average primary teacher's salary of €60,000 will be reduced by a fifth after this week's 6.5% pay cut, combined with two other cuts in pay last March and April.

Sheila Nunan, the organisation's incoming general secretary, said morale among Irish teachers was "the worst ever", due to the budget.

THE WORST EVER?????  IT IS ABOUT TO GET A LOT WORSE!!!!!!

New Cases Test Optimism on Extremism by U.S. Muslims By SCOTT SHANE

The rampage in Fort Hood, Tex., and the account of Virginia men who went to Pakistan challenge the idea that U.S. Muslims are less vulnerable to radicalization than those in Europe.

AT THIS POINT....9.09 READY......11.10.9 SET...1.01.10 GO

Changes in Medicaid eligibility regulations for low-income elders and special-needs adults have forced the closing of the only adult day care program in South Boston and could potentially shutter similar programs across the state, elderly care advocates said.

The Adult Day Health Program run by Catholic Charities’ Labouré Center, which previously received $300,000 a year from the state to provide nursing care and recreational and restorative therapies to 45 elders and adults with special needs, will close on Dec. 31, according to Sister Maryadele Robinson, director of the Labouré Center.

The state funds made up a large part of the center’s $540,000 budget.

CB Richard Ellis to market $2 billion in state buildings

Los Angeles-based commercial real estate brokerage CB Richard Ellis Group just got a big gig from the state of California: selling an estimated $2 billion worth of office state office buildings to help raise money to cover budget shortfalls.

CB Richard Ellis intends to sell 17 state buildings in 11 locations and has started marketing the properties to investors globally.

The state Department of General Services hopes to have the sales completed by the middle of next year. State employees would continue to occupy the buildings as tenants with 20-year leases.
