Taxable sales in Nevada fell 18.8 percent in July from a year ago, marking the ninth straight month of double-digit declines, the state Department of Taxation reported Thursday.
Sales in Clark County, the economic engine of the state's tourism-dominated economy, totaled $2.2 billion, down 20.6 percent from July 2008. In Washoe County, which includes Reno, sales totaled $442.9 million, a 15.2 percent decline.

90% of Americans jobs are dependent directly or indirectly on massive numbers of AMERICAN consumers consuming massively. If AMERICAN consumers are not consuming in America, most of us might as well find something else to do.
Remember my Kool Aid drinking Fools, a DEPRESSION is only a 10% decline in GDP and we already have over 20% effective unemployment factoring indepdendent contractors and sales down 20% and MUCH more across massive numbers of industries and sectors.
MOAP has officially arrived in 9.09 as the FDIC is running out of funds, FHA is running out of funds, and Pension Guaranty is running out of funds and American is running a $2 Trillion dollar deficit and the G20 is about to get claws!!!!
Now our cities, counties, states and schools and hospitals are running out of funds.
