An Alstrymous Apology To The College Kids

July 23, 2010 – Comments (7)

I know most of you got an education for the Industrial Age will will have little value in the Digital I am aware that many of you are in debt up to your eyeballs and it will be nearly impossible for you to find a job when you graduate that will come even close to you meeting your living expenses and servicing your debt.....

Let me be the first on Fool to extend you an appology for so few being aware of your plight and were simply not warned that the Industrial Age was being shut down by Wall Street and thus not adaquately prepared for what you face....

Please be patient....things will change...I am not sure exactly how yet....but they will....

...and I am acutely aware that most don't understand or appreciate the incredible stress many of you face as your dreams and expectations of reality have been shattered.....

but stand tall.....never let them see you are the are the Digital Age.....

Your Time Will Wall Street shuts you down.......Temporarily.....and only temporarily.

Again, please accept Alstrymous' apology on behalf of the rest of an indifferent sheep filled world.

Although I'm lucky to have had my parents pay...I must say I regret even attending college more and more every day.

I know Alstry no longer makes market calls as he thinks the  market system is going away (one of the very few things I don't agree with you about) I am going to make one.  This market will be 15-20% lower or more by Aug 13.  Denial can only last so long and the tipping point is now.

Comrade Alstrymous --

Back in '68-'69 the slogan was "Draft Beer Not Students."

Fast forward 40+ years and it's probably "Draft Students Not Beer."

After all, your O'Bama-care nurse practitioner will frown on your alcohol (and cigar) use, all-the-while dwindling job prospects for college-age kids means conscription is much more desirable to having them on the streets.

A word to the wise 20 year old . . . "die young, stay pretty." Thank you Debbie!
