Excellent find, Iguad. Thanks.
I've been aware of the allegations for several years, and have never purchased a Bayer product since, but it's so nice to see both that irrefutable documentary evidence has now made public and that the mainstream media are picking up the story.
So much for the "trusted name" in aspirin, huh?
If people only knew the extent to which their best interests are at the bottom of the list of factors affecting the actions of so many major corporations, they would weep in disgust.
TY you made my day.
What's the next stop after weeping in disgust? Every time you hear of something beyond the pale, and just manage to put it in the back of your mind, up comes something like this. I had a friend in grad school---we used to joke about our fathers; one of her father's favorite sayings was "People are no f***ng good," while my father was fond of saying "Its a rotten, sh***y world out there." Hard to consider reality without being a chronic depressive, but I'd rather have a realistic picture of things and just try to live the best live I can, rather than being blind. Thanks for the post--things like this need to be known....
T Y gman444 you are so right
Just because a topic is on TV or in print does not make something so.
If this story is true, Then it should be shouted from the rooftops by every responsible person and the people in the company who made this decision should be brought to trial for premeditated murder.
Mary: Some investigation would show you that dumping substandard products on third world markets is not uncommon.
Okay, Somebody go check this and tell me if I am imagining this or not! On this blog, which is Dare's blog on investing in heroin (and of course it is another satire) http://caps.fool.com/Blogs/ViewPost.aspx?bpid=140889&t=01007820309211448063 on comment #23 there is a picture of an old pharmaceutical bottle of heroin from a time before it was considered a street drug. Is that or is that not a bottle from the Bayer company and if so, is it the Same Bayer company?
Mary: Sorry if I came across as caustic. No offense intended. And congratulations on your (rather meteoric) rise in score.
