Imagine that...the same number as those that lost jobs the week before, so the headline says "unchanged."

Could you imagine the public's reaction if that was the way we reported deaths in war?

WE NOW HAVE 83,000,000 AMERICANS NOT COUNTED IN THE WORKFORCE

Pretty soon, we will have 10 people working and say there is 5% unemployment.

Have you now sunk so low as to compare losing a job with losing a life in an attempt to make a point?

For some, losing a job results in death...especially overseas....but you wouldn't care.  You are too self centered.

It is simply the way we keep score and the mathematics applied.  Statistics can be very deceiving if we don't understand the basis for the number.

For example, the current 8% unmeployment rate would be a 28% unemployment rate if we applied Great Depression methodology...but few want to hear that....especially if they are not unemployed.

Whether we use first time unemployment claims, first time deaths, for first time women who lost their viginity via rape.....370,000 week after week accumulates ot a very large number in a relatively short period of time.
