Apple to Microsoft: Stop Picking on Me!

Well, yesterday we had an example of Apple bullying Palm's Pre users off iTunes. Today, Apple plays the victim.

Kind of an amusing story out of the WSJ this morning.

Apparently Apple has complained to Microsoft that it doesn't like their ads because "[Microsoft] had lowered [their] prices"

Uh, Earth to Apple, #1- Wouldn't "lowering" your prices just be effective advertising? And more importantly #2- YOU'VE BEEN RUNNING THE ADS (for years) THAT CAUSED MICROSOFT TO START THEIR OWN CAMPAIGN.

Unconfirmed reports now have Apple offering to replace the old PC guy with Ryan Reynolds in exchange for Microsoft pulling their advertising campaign.

Not that I don't find most the Apple ads amusing, this is just all the peak of irony.

Then again, could just be Microsoft playing fast and loose with the specifics for some free publicity.

I find it hard to believe that Apple which started the war (of sorts) now decided to bow to Microsoft. I would have thought, they would ramp up their campaign in response.

Persoanally, as great as I think Apple is, I dont think its right for Apple to use the Mac/PC guy ad. Its unfair. Its like Obama having a debate with McCain on TV, except instead of McCain he uses McCain clone.
