Are Workers Bigger Terrorists Than Al Qaeda?

Over 2 million people per year are killed by air pollution
Over 1 million people are killed each year in auto accidents
Millions more are killed annually in wars securing resources

If we automated jobs, tens of millions of people would not have to drive to and from work daily. The need for resource consumption would drop dramatically globally. With creative thinking and new technology, millions of lives could be saved every year simply from reduced pollution and reduced auto accidents. Right now we could automate the entire financial services/banking industry and postal service with current technology. Automating just these two industries would free up the need for tens of millions of driving/consuming/polluting workers worldwide.

It looks like we are well on our way to automating all of the workers out of financial services......

Except that all of those bots would require enormous amounts of energy. Which would likely increase the burning of fossil fuels, thus killing everyone sitting at home not working thanks to exponential GhG emissions.
