In Moscow, Igor Panarin's Forecasts Are All the Rage; America 'Disintegrates' in 2010

This is of interest. Why?

1. It is on the front page of the WSJ! No seriously, it is on the front page of the WSJ!  GO LOOK FOR YOURSELF!

2. It is the most popular story at the WSJ online. I AM SERIOUS, go look!

Break apart the US? Not with out some serious fighting. I will fight to keep the Union, no doubt.

NOTE: If you have read Economic Hitman, it does seem the US has been set up for a debt based collapse.

For the record, I do not believe this. Not in this narrow timeline. But I do believe mass migration, the growth of the government, and excesive debt are grave problems. It will take a major, change in circumstance to bring this about.

FYI - this can be best described as propaganda."> name="allowFullScreen" value="true">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">

I've been seeing similar propaganda on RussiaToday on youtube.  "Civil war" and such.

It's the same guy.  Panarin.

I would not fight to save this Union -- not in this way is it worth dying over, not like it was.  The only thing worth fighting for is something inherently good, something with integrity and honor, something that offers protection of our unalienable rights and freedoms.  The current system reeks of corruption, and I can hardly stand the stench at this point.

Unfortunately, the natural progression of things is for government to gain ground, to take away the rights of the people, often under the guise of protecting them.  America has proven that it is not immune to this, our government is little different at the end of the day.

I would actually love to have a revolution of epic proportions, dramatically reducing the power of the federal government.  Or, basically going back to the US Constitution.  It is unfortunate when that, in itself, is a revolutionary idea.

Yes...I am a Ron Paul Revolutionary...

I wonder if this guy was one of the KGB "experts" that predicted an American Nuclear first strike against the Soviet Union during the Reagan administration.  This sage advice led the USSR to a military buildup that they could not afford and probably hastened their demise.

This guy is working as a "professor" in the diplomatic academy of the ministry of foreign affairs. A KGB department under a different name.

Thank you for the replies. This is Russian propaganda. But it does not make all of his arguements invalid. In fact, there are some significant points that should be addressed and recognized.

No doubt America is an Empire of debt, watch the next post for details.

Good point actually. If you want some more details, I might recommend the book Legacy of Ashes. The US at multiple times did consider a first strike.

Russian interests are Russian interests. This guy is promoting Russian propaganda. The main thing was, is it was front page of the WSJ.

I understand your point. I, of course am a Ron Paul supporter. I support the same issues as Dr Paul. ie sound money, reduced government roles etc... but a Nation broken apart is not going to help us or the US.

Less government and less taxes the better...the larger nationial bounderies the better. The fact that a few in our nationial bounderies are exploting us, does not mean we would be better off if we were broken apart.
