I guess the powers at Fool thought there was to much rod and they took down my 50 Rec post where I took a rod to GoodVibe4Ever & CO.

It was just a matter of time for this Nov 08 rebirth and his gang of Nov 08 rebirths and "no pick" zombies were figured out. Time line for this "AllStar" of Red Thumbs and green returns and Green thumbs and red returns to put on his beanie hat and/or "rebirth" again are quickly approaching. 

But I hope the best for him and his loyal following of zombies and Nov 08 rebirths. As my groupies know Wall Street is a target rich enviroment of the innept and corrupt to exploit, as they try and exploit us. So we do not need GoodVibe4Ever and Co.

I was surprized at the responses 130+ and 50 RECs?, the post only took about 20 minutes to put together. I spent more time applying the "rod" to the Nov 08 rebirths and zombies then researching the orginal post. lol.

Yesterdays blog post took a couple hours to put together, and received my normal 5-15 Recs.

I think Fools should be looking to buy at some point but we are early still. I think there is a greater equity panic building. 

Real companies, P/E 6 to 10, little/no debt, 3% dividend, good management, good history etc... that is a basic criteria. My fear is a greater war, then there will be some changes. 

I am Long SWHC and RGR, which have had a big run up int two weeks. I do not like the numbers, but I suspect their might be a guns and ammo bubble to get interesting. Make a visit or call your local gun shop and let me know what you think.

It just seemed like you were really upset with the guy and it seemed to come out of nowhere (although I must admit it may have been hard to see coming with the top 5 blogs being somewhat taken over by a small amount of blogs with a large amount of recs.

 

Others that comment on goodvibes blogs seemed to be upstanding citizens of MF - EverydayInvestor, goldmininexpert are 2 that come to mind.

 

Was it really the number of recs he gets that set you off?!?!  my rec on this post will be #10... that's weird

Why? Instinct.

1. Outperformed DRYS - known garbage

2. Excessive RECs for weak posts

3. Speed of RECs. A good posts by a TOP FOOL gets 20 Recs in about 24 hours. 50+ are possible but takes longer. GV a Nov 08 rebirth gets 30 recs in 2 hours? no, I don't think so.

I did not read the post that was taken off however if it was as scathing as this one I'm glad I didn't.  I am interested in what you have to say if you can present an argument to refute someones accuracy that os objective and not malicious.  I do respect your opinions knowledge and experience.

I do have to say though that I have made substantial gains following the TA.  I don't think it is perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than my experience at Edward Jones or other Brokers.  I do what is comfortable for me and I look to other fools comments as well as other reliable sources to  make my final decisions. 

I do agree with your point that we are in for some rough water in the market.  It will be interesting to see if the chart pans out in the coming days.  I am treading very cautiously!

It would be great if some of the long time pro's here at caps would be more helpful with strategy investing, discussing their favorite picks etc. to share with the newbies.  i think you would see a lot more RECS. if you did that.

The reason GV's racking up recs is because his message is almost entirely positive and he encourages reccing and responses on his blogs. He also geuninely wants to share his work. It's the same reason Obama beat out Hillary...the positive message resonated with people much more.

There's quite a bit of disdain that comes from people who are at the top of the CAPS board towards people that have lower scores and it usually means lower rated players are reluctant to post - indeed, in my first blogs I was essentially ridiculed by high rated players. GV successfully disarms people, thus he gets recs and responses.
