We have royalty revenue folks. I think that will be the biggest and most positive news here in the 3rd quarter 10-Q that came out quietly on August 9th.  I do not believe there was any conference call, but on the Biodelivery Sciences website there is a presentation listed for Friday August 13th:Dr. Mark A. Sirgo, President and Chief Executive Officer, will present at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2010 Specialty Pharmaceuticals Conference at the Southampton Inn in Southampton, New York

There is also a link to the webcast.

It seems that a good deal of the concern about the lack of sales in Onsolis will be lifted from the stock now that we are seeing the first royalties rolling in from the US, with Canada still to come later this year, and Europe next on the horizon. Not to mention that in the US Onsolis is still at a disadvantage due to its REMS. There is some action taking place within the FDA that management believes will help this situation.  As Onsolis sales and royalties increase, the risk of dilution decreases, and that has been another major fear for many investors.

 Buprenorphine is the big money drug in the pipeline and has been in use for many years in Europe in other forms.  Management still says to expect a partner this year for this one. It seems that with the Onsolis story being validated by the new royalty numbers, it should only help their case for being able to bring Buprenorphine to market and achieve  success with it.

Throw in the fact that the stock price has tested historic lows lately and you have a pretty good investment story going here. Best of luck to all.

One part of the 10-Q that does temper my enthusiasm :

"Our existing cash and cash equivalents are believed by our management to be sufficient to finance planned operations (clinical and commercial development of product candidates beyond those covered under our Meda and other related agreements and potential capital expenditures) into the second half of 2011.

However, additional capital will likely be required in order to proceed with our support of the commercial launch of ONSOLIS, clinical development programs for other products in our pipeline such as BEMA Buprenorphine (the scale of which is dependent in part on the success of ONSOLIS and on the results from our clinical studies for each of these products), and for general working capital. Based on product development timelines and agreements with our development partners, the ability to scale up or reduce personnel and associated costs are factors considered throughout the product development life cycle. Available resources may be consumed more rapidly than currently anticipated, resulting in the need for additional funding. Accordingly, we anticipate that we may be required to raise additional capital through a variety of sources, including:

 public equity markets;

 private equity financings;

 collaborative arrangements;

 grants and new license revenues;

 bank loans;

 equipment financing;

 public or private debt; and

 exercise of existing warrants.

I have been in since May, not very long really. I admit the idea came from ZZlangerhans here.  While the stock price hasn't been agreeable in that time period, I do like the story more and more. JMHO

Hey expatriot, I took up a small position myself recently after the insider purchases, and I as well got the idea from ZZ.  I really like following his posts...knows what he's doing and writes pretty well.  Best of luck to us and all BDSI longs here!
