Here is a current stock list of dividend stocks paying forthcoming dividends and having ex-dividend within the week December 06, 2010 – December 12, 2010. The average dividend-yield amounts to 3.18 percent.

The ex-dividend date is a major date related to the payment of dividends. If you purchase a stock on its ex-dividend date or later, you will not receive the next dividend payment. Instead, the seller gets the dividend. If you purchase before the ex-dividend date, you get the dividend.

I like the at a glance format you use.

One benefit of a diversified portifolio with almost 30 stocks is that I get dividends every month because of different pay schedules. I know that some bonds pay every month rather than quarterly, but I have fun keeping track of stock dividends and I don't understand bonds as well. Some months are lighter than others, but it is fun to see how dividend payouts balance out overall.
