Big Bad Bank redux: No. 9 in the 2009 Customer Service Hall of Shame
As a follow-up to my previous blog post regarding my mother's experience trying to get a loan from BofA (no such luck!), I wanted to share with you some of the other bad customer experiences that we have since learned about.
Take a look at some of the comments posted here.
This raises the question - do banks need to offer good customer service? After all, they are not the ones suffering. Here is just one example:
We borrowed against our home in approx 1985 for an inground pool. The loan changed banks several times and ultimately landed with Bank of America. We paid the loan off in 1997. To date the lien against our home for the 2nd mortgate has yet to be released. We have called numerous times, gone into BofA to speak personally with managers, and sent several letters asking for the lien to be released. Guess what???? Its still there.
