I have totally, I mean totally, missed the bio bubble and have the discipline to stay away now that I'm too late. But I'm afraid it's not a bubble and all that really happened is that I missed out.

I really like this comment, not only for its poetic ending. I also think that probably there is no bio bubble. This virtual fund thing I have going since March 2010 really started being a worthwhile endeavour when I started throwing out the non-biopharma stuff. In August 2012 it went biopharma only and is now in hands-off mode as I have started a "real money" portfolio with zzlangerhans. The virtual fund went from

100 in March 2010 to around
80.3 at its December 19, 2011 low to around
210.1 currently, so it made around 162% since that low made less than 17 months ago.

The following chart shows the performance of that old virtual fund and benchmark ETFs since August 10, 2012.

The real money portfolio co-managed by zzlangerhans and by me is here.

I think I said it in your other thread.  Find the cure to cancer.  Biotech is never bull/bear, secular/cyclical. It is all about end results.

I find a lot of similarities between this biotech run-up and the 1995-1997 run-up of Big Pharma.
